my mountain

7.000 feet above sea level.
Here are some views of Sierra Blanca, highest mountain in the state that isn't out by Taos...

Now we have a view of moon mountain. In top shape I could hike to the peak and back from my house barefoot, with no water, in less than two hours:

Some ridges that you can see from the top of the mountain behind dad's cabin. These have forest service roads on top for an easy hike to moon mountain.

This is the view of the roof of my dad's cabin coming down the descent

And this is the view of my cabin from my dad's deck. It's the one obscured by trees, but you can see my blue jeep in the driveway

Please keep in mind that this is the driest I've seen this place in the nine years I've lived here.

Very nice, your lordship. Looks a wee bit like my mountain, but only from a distance. Close up is very different!

I'll post some pics later when I can find some to upload.

I am pretty sure I have been on this mountain before.....(the one you took pics of)

Here are some pics of a mountain I've been on.
(trip with bro, 2 weeks in japan in august, hottest i have ever been, looked really odd with puddles in my armpits but had a blast.)

A pic from a mountain in Japan, this one is from a shrine dedicated to tengu, animal-human hybrids which devour priests.
Image
Oops, I accidentally added this one in. It's from a gundam series. TAKE THAT QUATTRO. You should never lie to your students if you want them to be great robot pilots.
Image
This one is of my brother, stepping over tree roots at the tengu shrine. I think the root formations are fascinating.
Image
This last one is me, at a castle in Matsue. The japanese have many castles, but this one is relatively untouched and left the way it would have been in feudal ages, lacking the brave warriors willing to give their lives for their beliefs.

this is the start of our monsoon season. Sometimes if it rains all week, you'll actually get steam coming off your breath in the summer in the middle of the day. If we get good rains this year you'll see more pics with LOTS of verdure!
