OK, I thought for my debut in Mallory I'd introduce a little name-game.

What story is hidden within your name? A line to every letter, a stanza to every word.

A Meaningful Name

So he appeared, that odious man,
Handsomely vain, a tedious pen.
Ain't nobody else, would fit in his shoes,
Despite darkened boots and shadowy hues.

Really? What language do you usually use? I tried to learn German once but the results were highly pitiful. I remember a song about someone who says he emigrated to a different country but at night he still dreams in his mother tongue.

I do speak German, (with varying degrees of pitiful), but SdS is mostly SdS and not StS because I bought him from my local ABC Shop, (with a voucher my parents gave me, expecting I would buy a book of left-wing essays and not a cuddly toy! ), only to find when I got him home that he was of German descent, via China of course.

And interesting anecdote about the dreaming. 'They' say you're finally feeling at home with a language when you start dreaming in it, assuming in this case you're not saying, "Ich verstehe nicht."

I am now acquainted with Shaun the sheep. Cute show. Until now the name was connected in my mind with Shaun of the Dead (which is also very good)

I've only seen that movie about four times. I own the DVD and soundtrack, so whilst I'm happy you and fluffy Shaun are now acquainted, I would have been perfectly happy to be associated in your mind with Zombie Shaun.

I see Shaun the Sheep occasionally because I'm flipping channels and there it is, on the station that normally has stupid kid shows dubbed in Arabic. Little to no dialog, so no dubbing. Actually, they show Tom and Jerry with no dubbing, but again almost no dialog; but when they show Looney Toons they're not dubbed either-- I guess they know not to mess with the classics.

Okay, back to topic. Next acrostic name poem, please?
