The Pats' problem is the length of their success - that's what's bound to catch up to any team. The year after year of lower draft picks eventually hits you.

About the Tampa Bay Buccaneers...

The team can now say they have 4 players that anyone outside of their own locker room that anyone has heard of.

Ronde Barber
Kellen Winslow Jr.
Josh Freeman (kind of)
And now...Albert Haynesworth
Just 49 more players to go.

Whether Haynesworth actually contributes in any meaningful way to the team's performance at least he nearly doubles my interest in the Bucs from 0.15% to 0.29%.

Thank you Patriots! :-)

Come on Mike Smith... are you kidding me? 4th and inches in overtime and if it doesn't work it puts the other team in field goal range without anything else.... and you go for it?!! Dang gutsy but stupid move. The problem with those is if you get it your are a hero but if you don't, you are dirt... I dont know why they didn't punt and give their defense a chance to make a turnover or a 3 and out and another drive.

Heh. "Fat Albert" managed to be fairly productive in his first game with the Bucs. He got a few tackles and got half way decent penetration. Of course it wouldn't have mattered if the 2001 version of Warren Sapp was in there for the Bucs. They got steamrolled plain and simple.

We'll be a pretty good football team in a few years which makes me wonder why I'm bothering to watch them now.
Oh that's right. The game was blacked out.

Next up: The massacre in Green Bay.

Apparently the Ravens can only beat teams with winning records.

I cannot believe what passes for officiating these days in the league, this isnt boxing, those idiots in the striped shirts did everything they could to hand the game to the Jags, and if not for a courageous goal line stand at the close of the game , they would have succeeded. It was as if they were trying to aggravate the crowd into doing something stupid, thankfully no one threw anything.

The Giants can't beat the Eagles in Meadowlands. Even a new stadium doesn't help. Vince Young starting? No matter. 30 yds rushing for Giants? Unbelievable.

Ndamukong Suh seems determined to end his career sooner than later.

msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/ndamukong-suh-ejected-detroit-lions-green-bay-packers-112411/?ocid=ansfox11

first he pounds the guys head into the turf three or four times then he stomps on him. he needs to be suspended and fined heavily, maybe this will cause him to behave.

and he chooses a nationally televised game to do this, becoming the story of the day. Goodell must be so thrilled.

Ive had the guy pinned as dirty since his rookie pre- season. I guess this ends the debate. My Browns pissed away a 10 point lead to once again lose in the final seconds by 3 points. They competed, just barely, I guess Ill have to hang my hat on that.

Pats are on a good roll. Glad I didn't jump off the bandwagon just because they lost two in a row. Next week, Colts!

Bengals WR Jerome Simpson showed that he's a real class act in Sundays game against the Browns. With a colossal flop that would make FIFA fans proud. It breaks down like this Simpson grabs Browns LB Scott Fujita by the foot , and drags him out of a pile, Fujita gets up and gives Simpson a little push. Im not minimizing, it was little, far too little to have resulted in Simpsons flopping backflip. It looked like something out of the Matrix, but apparently it looked genuine enough to get the Browns a flag for unsportsman like conduct. The officials of this league are a joke, and the Browns are the punchline.

The League has finally acted, and suspended Donkey Kong Suh for 2 games. He had to repeatedly bash another players head on the turf, and then stomp on him just for good measure, in order to get the suspension, and still proclaims his actions were justified. The League knows that fines are a joke to players who make millions, and were forced to suspend Suh based on his own proclamation that he will not change the way he plays. According to Suh, officials, and fans alike are just in awe of his power, and he scares them into making calls against him, and scares us into labeling him Dirty. Huh?
The fact is that Mr. Suh suffers from entitled athlete syndrome, and has anger management issues. His denial of any wrongdoing, is testament to his complete disdain for rules, and even video evidence. My guess is that all of this will happen again, and eventually it will cost someone their career, either Suh's own, or one of his victims.
