As much permission as I can give, I don't own any rights to it. :P

I feel ok today. Left work early and had Kin put in some comp time. When I left, Sal was all, "Hey, I came in before you, how come you get to leave early?" and I said, 'One, it's slowed way down, two, Bryce can cover copy and print and THREE, I have already done over SEVEN times my sales goal for today so Kin was happy to let me do whatever I want, perhaps if YOU do seven times your sales goal he will let you go early too..." Then I stuck out my tongue at him and he told me in a sulky voice, "Shut up." and turned and walked away. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! That was fun.

On Monday, everybody at work went, "Oh no, Christmas is five days away! And then everybody's off next week! We've got five days to get everything done *this year*!"

Then yesterday, my attorneys looked at me and said, "You're here Thursday, right?" Uh, no, sorry. My last day before vacation is Wednesday. Then they said, "You're here next week, right?" Uh, no, sorry.

So they slammed me with work yesterday and today. :whip: :faint:

But I got really nice bonuses from all of them. And I don't have to go back into the office 'til 2012. Ahhhhh.... 8)

I am "off" from work, but no rest for the wicked. Spent the night in a village last night, which means little sleep, even with earplugs, because it's just too hot and noisy until about 4am, when I got up to "ease myself" which requires going outside, and saw more stars than I've seen in years. No electricity, no lights anywhere, no moon. Nothing but starlight. That makes it worth it.

Simon's cat is awesome. :D

Hi Ali, I had a quick look at this link when you first posted, but it was 113mins (or thereabouts) long and I didn't know where in the order of interviewees you came? Can you give me a rough timeline estimate for your bit?

Sorry, Shaun, I thought I had. My segment starts a little over halfway in, somewhere between 65 and 70 minutes from the beginning. Each segment is less than 10 minutes long, so if you start listening at 1:05:00, you should be good. 8)

One more day and then I get a three day weekend. I am looking forward to lounging and doing nothing. I also had a nice surprise in the mail when I got home, Xmas card from England. We had a super slow day in the copy center today so I lost some ground on my number surges since we were actually up against a challenging goal. Oh well. Can't be number one ALL the time.

Fired up the computer this morning and got an error message: "user logon failed". This is my home computer, mind you. Had to start in safe mode and do a system restore to get it to let me in. Gotta love Windows....

I might have to use my holiday bonus to get a new laptop. Sigh. I was really hoping to avoid that.

I've also been having issues with my user profile at work -- Outlook crashes constantly. The IT people know about it. They've been discussing the best way to fix it for about a week. I'm hoping it's resolved by the time I get back to work in January, but I'm pretty sure it won't be.

Thanks Ali, interesting listen, although the interviewer (forgotten her name sorry) needs to learn how to back-announce an interview! "Ok, then, bye." No handy little, "That was X. Her latest novel Y is available .. blah blah" But yes, good listening and well done to you!

The TC for Ali's interview is 70:01 for any interested watchers.

ever have a moment when someone asked you what to to do, you tell them, they do the opposite, you tell then again and they ask again and you tell them and they ask again ad do it again and so forth until you want to yell, stop.

Turned to grab my seatbelt in the car, and seem to have pinched a nerve in my neck. Pretty painful.

We seriously could use that "stop hissing" button. Morgan always takes one look at Batty and Shara_Lunison, hisses at them, and then hides under my bed 'til they're gone. Even if they're here for *days*.

Thanks for the time check, Shaun, and you're right about her back-announcing skills. Dunno if she's ever actually done radio, tho...

Murrin, hope you feel better soon!

I tried to find the "lolcats" picture captioned something like, "Rule #15 of living with cats: If you iz doing it, I is laying on it." It had a pic of a cat laying on a laptop. :D

I had a great Christmas. My husband was the preacher in church and after his sermon, the church boogied DOWN!! If there was anyone NOT dancing, I didn't see them. It's one thing I adore about the church in Nigeria. They know how to cut loose.

We skyped with my family who were all together at my Mom's house. My stepdad, who has Alzheimer's, said, "We have had more damn fun today!"

I believe most cats come equipped with that as an automatic feature.

Also, no more Xmas music. Hallelujah.

Oh thank god! I was so sure that it went all the way to new years last year. I am so happy to be wrong!

Just got back from doing laundry and I've been puttering around doing some random cleaning and straightening. I'm starting to wind down into, I think that's enough for today mode... :P Moose is all happy because I washed his doggy bed cover and his blanky so now he gets to spend the evening rearranging his bed a hundred times and rolling in it so it gets all doggy smelling again and also figuring which section to hide his prime rib bone in. I know at some point it is going to end up in MY bed but he cleaned it off completely so it's not gross or anything, just uncomfortable to roll over on in the middle of the night. AND actually I should probably give him round two tonight. My roast was a three rib so he gets three shots at a rib bone this week. Just gave him another one and he's currently burying it in his bed. My dog is so cute.

I find a three rib roast is the perfect size for us, plus stroganoff planned overs. Glad Moose enjoys them as well. :)
