When I moved to Jos (and sorry Null, I don't know the origin of the name and if I asked ten people I'd get ten different theories) I renewed my acquaintance with a high school friend. We both randomly ended up here. Our daughters are now good high school friends, too. One of those small-world thingies.
But I'm not going to name names. Like I said, those people wouldn't remember me, in HS I was what was called a "future" back then, as in, "that girl has a real future ahead of her, NOT."
Hey, I'm happy with my life now, and wouldn't trade places with former Miss USA for anything.

Dude, did you realize that you used the pronoun "that" with this gal as the antecedent.
Good to see you around, even though I just "had" to heckle you for that. (I was being a coward so it took me this long to post that thought.)
Deer- that sounds pretty random meeting up with whoever halfway around the world... (you haven't told us why that person is famous, if she is?)
But wow, that expression, calling someone a "future" and meaning that.. is... wow, kinda cruel.
I'm all like ":| at them"!

They don't take long looks at anything, because they lack the courage.
The way to despair is to refuse to have any kind of experience, and the novel, of course, is a way to have experience."

Thanks, Linna. But if you had known me then... and we had horrible words for each other; at least I wasn't a "coke whore" or a "greaser".
The person I'm now friends with in Jos is a guy, and not famous outside of Jos, where he is well-known for running a number of rescue missions and for saying "super-ultra-awesome" a lot.

One of my former friends during high school is now a famous stripper in Houston. (I can't remember her stage name, so don't ask.) It's not really a surprise.
As far as that, I'm not sure. I don't keep up with anyone from HS, really. I hated those years.
