Davy ftw! I never thought Micky was all that cute. And Davy had that English accent going on.

Sick? I feel *old*.

Speaking of: When I worked at the radio network in the mid-'90s, there was one morning when the Monkees (whatever was left of them at the time...) were on the "Today" show. They showed some clips from their TV show, and we were all like, "Oh, yeah, I remember that! That was funny!" or whatever. And then the host (can't remember who) said, "So this year is the 30th anniversary of 'The Monkees'," and we all said, in unison, "OH MY GOD!"

Come to think of it, that day was 15 years ago, which means 2011 was the 45th anniversary of the Monkees' debut... 8O

See, I like Mickey too. I voted for him. He always had that subversive twinkle going on.

The sick feeling actually came from a then/now pic of Davy that exposed his man boobs. There are some things you just can't unsee. 8O

Yeah, sadly, Davy didn't age well. I suspect it happens to a lot of guys who are adorably cute in their teens and 20s.

He now owns a horse farm in Pennsylvania, as it turns out.

Good thing Isaiah 11:6 doesn't really say "...and the lion will lie down with the lamb", even though it is commonly misquoted that way.

Nesmith was the talent in that band, for sure.
