People are seeming a little confused about the online/offline indicator. If the indicator is removed it doesn't mean you won't be able to check who's online - you'll still have the 'Who's Online' box on the index page. The Online/Offline indicator is just the tiny little icon next to everyone's posts that says 'online' or 'offline', with a red or green man.

"From keeping to not keeping"

1 - Quick Reply, I love it. I'm using it now. Kicks ass.
2 - Spoiler, quite necessary.
3 - Online/Offline, NEEDED.
4 - Special effects and such, love 'em.
5 - WGD, could do without.
6 - Album, don't use much.
7 - Calendar, pointless.
8 - Stats, pointless since we have post counts in our posts.
9 - Chatroom
10 - Sub-forums, kinda boring. Could be grouped, imo, to a few regular forums. Clogs up the board.

Oh, if that's what that means, it can be ditched, as far as I'm concerned. I have never even used it.

Quick Reply box - please keep. I use it for most of my replies.
WGD - Fun idea, but like Damelon said: past it's time.
Chatroom - I never seen anybody in it, though I wouldn't mind using it.
Special Effects - I like them. Adds a personal touch.
Spoiler - keep'er
Sub-forums - Good to have; Topics - Getting out of hand? (IMO)
Online/Offline - I like to see who else is here.
Have you hugged your arghule today?

Ok, here goes

1. Album - KEEP THE ALBUM :D
2. Spoiler - necessary, I think
3. Special effects - I like my colors, and the two items that appear under my name, because they compliment my colors (hey, I'm a girly girl, I like for things to match ;) ) Other than that, you could bin it all.
4. Calendar - I like to see B-days and such
5. Sub-forums - they seem to be pretty popular, and I can always skip the entire collective if I don't want to read it (which I often don't) Don't care really, except for the Library, and Stephen's Thread
6. Quick Reply - don't use it much, because I like smilies. ;) :D 8O
7. Chat Room - It would be way cooler if it could be less of a pain in the 8O
8. Online/offline - there's always the Who's Online thingy, if I want to know
9. Stats - couldn't care less
10. WGD - it was a cool idea Vain, but it's become pointless :(

The ones I'd like to be kept, in order:
1. Chatroom
2. Special Effects
3. Sub-forums
4. Spoiler
5. WGDs

The rest, I don't care for. 8)

1. User Online/Offline indicator - Keep.
2. Spoiler function - Absolutely necessary.
3. Chatroom - Keep it, but a faster one would be great.
4. Calendar - See note at bottom.
5. Photo Album - I love seeing what you all look like. :D
6. WGD and Bank - Cool idea, a little slow at the moment, but may pick up. Keep.
7. Shops - Keep.
8. Sub-forums - Definately keep.
9. Stats - Why not. It's interesting.
10. Quick Reply box - Have no idea what this is.

I think the calendar would be very cool if each days events were displayed somewhere, such as just below the User Online/Offline indicator. So, when you came online you would look to see who is online and see just below that that it is Skyweir's birthday or Damelon's wedding anniversary or whatever. Just a thought. :D

Once again - 'Who is Online' and 'Online/Offline indicator' are two completely different things. This topic is about mods - 'Who is Online' isn't even a mod, it's a built in feature that will be on the update as well as the current version.
Look underneath the shop items next to each post to see what the 'Online/Offline indicator' is.

Is there any way to make it possible to jump between forums withouth first passing the forum index? It takes forever to load the index sometimes... Like some kind of frame with shortcuts to all the forums and subforums? Or a choice of forums comming up on the same place as the index-link is now?

As far as I'm concerned, the only essential feature on that list is sub-forums. With the number of threads and posts on a board this size, it really does help to be able to organize it by at least two levels of categories. There are all sorts of interesting discussions that I would never have found if I didn't have the ability to 'drill down' to a particular sub-forum.

1. User Online/Offline indicator - Doesn't take much space, does it?
2. Spoiler function - Absolutely necessary.
3. Chatroom - I never use it. I'd rather establish a chatroom somewhere. I'm in a very different timezone than most people here, I believe.
4. Calendar - Never touched it.
5. Photo Album - A nice addition.
6. WGD and Bank - Wouldn't miss it too much.
7. Shops - No.
8. Sub-forums - Essential
9. Stats - I do not measure people by the number of posts.
10. Quick Reply box - Good thing.

8. Sub-forums (The thing that makes The Collective etc possible)
10. Quick Reply box
7. Shops (includes Special Effects) ((If it can be made free, with fewer items allowed by each member))
2. Spoiler function
3. Chatroom
5. Photo Album
4. Calendar
1. User Online/Offline indicator (not necessary as long as we have the "who is online" thingamabob.

And in the "Please get rid of" bin:
6. WGD and Bank
9. Stats
11. Posts count under our names

Must keep on down...
1) Sub Forums
2)Photo album
3)spoiler
4)chatroom
5)calendar
6)shops
7)bank
8)...
9)...
10)...what's the point?

And I don't know, but post count may play a good role.

We're gonna get lots of newbies this year with the Final Chronicles coming out,and that's a good thing; but I remember being new and needing a little nudge regarding post placement, protocol, and the like...and looking at post counts, seeing that danlo, sky. et al; were vets that oughta be listened to and basically heeded as, well, not fellow newbies. :)

Maybe a highlighted joined date will do all that?
