Will Roger go to the Land?

Post by Revan »

We know that Roger is going to be in the third chronicles... but we do not know how big of a role he'll have... Do you think he'll be taken to the Land?

I think it would be cool if he did. He'd start out as a sort of anti-hero/villain, then he'd meet his father, and come to terms with him, and then become the savior of the Land!

Yay! Happy ending!

Oh, wait... the Land's going to be destroyed isn't it?

(sniffles) Sad ending....

:(

From what i've heard, I wouldn't expect Roger to have a much bigger role than the part we already know about. He'll be the tool used by Foul to bring Linden and the boy into the Land, but other than that I don't think he'll do much (Like Joan, or the people who burned their hands).

I agree... Roger will probably just be a tool in Foul's hands. Keep in mind... SRD himself tells us Foul will make use of Roger: this means he will be a tool for Foul, and therefore effectless in the Land. At most, IF he goes to the Land, he will be Foul's tool and pawn - perhaps a lever with which to attack Covenant, but nothing more in my opinion. But the idea that Roger were to go to the Land too sounds a bit cheesy in my mind - he will probably take on a role that is similar to Joan's in the SC.

Roger or Joan going to the Land would be weird. They have always been essentially so periferal to everything. 8O

In the name of their ancient pride and humiliation, they had made commitments with no possible outcome except bereavement.

He knew only that they had never striven to reject the boundaries of themselves.
