I want to Break Free - Queen
I am playing all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order!

Iolanthe, didn't you see this message? It got left on the previous page. Had quite a reaction to the combination of what you wrote and the song you named)

Let me see, generally, anything with a good story, no swearing or violence and not too much sex :D

Fat Bottomed Girls - Queen
:spew:  Especially since I know the lyrics...

And for Transylvanian aliens there can't be too much of it  Not much swearing and fantastic-styled non-serious violence, really, a laser capable of producing a beam of anti-matter  As for the story, it's actually good, but requires looking past many distracting things.

And I love old films, particularly Now Voyager, Casablanca etc. Pretty dull, eh?

Well, it's pretty old - 36 years, if I'm not mistaken.

Gimme The Prize - Queen
Let It Be - Beatles

Sorry Eff, had a very tiring day - conference and all sorts of problems with rooms doubled booked, nowhere to put our bookstall, had to put the other bookstalls in the main room etc, then had to rush to get our bookstall into the vacated room at lunch time - I'm knackered!

Just read the lyrics of above song, see what you mean as against what I said about films. I must admit it is the music itself that I tend to listen to, not always the words, and I hadn't realised, although I can sing Bohemian Rhapsody all the way through! I just love Freddie's voice and could listen to him all day.

But what has that to do with Tea???? I'm just about to drink a large mugful. :?

Narcissus - Norman Wisdom and Joyce Grenfell, and it was on a Bonzo Dog Dooda Band album as well

Make what you will of that, Eff

Just that I was drinking tea and reading the messages. Saw the message with such a combination and choked on that tea a bit)

Glad you can appreciate good music whatever the text. It may be in a similar way with the films, the violence, swearing etc. may be filtered out if there's something good as well that makes everything else worthwhile.

Oh yes, I appreciate all kinds of music; can't remember not being able to play the piano, and all the singing, until the voice went. Except jazz - I've never been able to play it and somehow can't get into it.
