She does know I'm Pagan. I suppose it's possible she doesn't know what Paganism is. Altho I thought I'd made it clear previously that it's not, y'know, some kind of Protestant thing.

I got a bad review today, received via internet email though so it doesn't affect our survey scores nor does it go beyond the store level. However, it wasn't just about me and the story was so outrageous and paranoid it's actually funny. I'll post details in my blog.

Other than that it was a kinda frustrating day since I was the only manager on duty from 3:30 to close so no evening breaks and we were busy so I was running around like a madwoman answering all the manager calls from employees, getting all the lockup items and having to back up in the copy center as well as cover my only cashier for her break and lunch break.

Ali, I started to post about the religion thing but then I realized I was unsure of what actual advice to give you. Maybe you should post on the calendar all the pagan holidays and a brief description of what they are about. Then maybe she will simply stop asking you about the non pagan holidays.

juliue has a wedding to attend to today. so i must try to shuffle alone here for a few hours. like most wedding gifts we give (on my advice) we gave them a clock.

was lucky enough to get a car ride (woof - woof) when julie went to get the clock, wrapping paper, card and bow. got some graphic novels out of it.

plus the 40 or so graphic novels from the library.

There was a lady in our choir who I always thought of in my mind as "the shelf". That word would fit perfectly!

Steatopygia abounds in Africa. People (especially women) of Bantu descent have a characteristic of accumulating fat on their bums. Lucky for them, African men consider that to be beautiful.

It was in fact used in a sequence where the hero encounters an African tribe. Amazons and cannibals, of course...

It's 4:30 in the morning. I've woken up. Teeth still look gorgeous but my head feels pinched and my gums are throbbing and it's going to be hard to get back to sleep. my face feels so squeezed that the back of my eyeballs hurt a bit. My dentist did say there would be some adjustment over the next few weeks but he didn' ttell me it would feel like braces ache and my gums are RAW. throbbing sore and aching. I look like a movie star though! I'm so happy with the new teefs

Poor Jenn! Hope you were able to take a painkiller.

But the teefs look divine! And thanks for the Pagan holiday advice -- altho I might just send her an e-mail with a quick rundown of our holidays, just as a "friend-to-friend" thing.

Sarge, I don't proselytize either, which is why I feel like I'm in an uncomfortable position.

Came home from a great retreat.

But then found out about a bomb in Kaduna, a state to the north, that killed about 38 ppl. And one in Jos that killed no one. Someone parked an okada (a motorcycle taxi) near a bar, walked away, and explosives attached to the bike went off. The Kaduna one was probably a mistake; it seems like it went off before reaching any kind of a target. Instead it killed a lot of okada drivers. You would think that if you're going to sacrifice your own life, you would plan a little better.

At the retreat, the Sunday service preacher spoke from this text (this is when Jesus appears after his resurrection and they think they're seeing a ghost): "Why are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your minds? Behold My hands and feet, that it is I Myself." In all these troubling incidents, I have to keep my focus where it belongs.

They need to be tight like that. If not when they do shift (which they will) there will be too much space and you will get gum problems from food getting caught. Give it a day and it will be better. Congrats on the new teef. Where them well

Not on top of the world today. Couldn't get to sleep last night and felt like death warmed up this morning. Then this came through on my FaceBook page. If this doesn't cheer us all up, nothing will. My granddaughter, by the way, 8 months old.
