Pictures like that are definitely tipping the scales in favour of the Sheep coming along to this glorious event! (Assuming there's accom room* and if possible, a pick-up from local airport? *Jenn mentioned if free accommodation is full, there might be rental options nearby. I'd be happy to go the paid option if the inn is full, especially as I'm late to the free-list-party. Alternately, I'm a pretty good floor-sleeper
)
I'm firming up on the idea of heading o/s this year, just fighting with a voice in my head that wants to go back to Germany. Still, no reason I can't fly from New York -> Berlin and combine the two adventures!
Anyway, just wanted to pop by this thread again to signal my very possible attendance and get some more details.

Once again, I lend my car to everyone. If we're doing Falmouth, I would definitely need lodging. Boston is ok at an hour, but Falmouth to NH is 2 hours. :/
And I could certainly ferry people from Boston airport down to Falmouth with me. Or, fly into the Manchester, NH airport. It's cheaper, and I'm only 15 minutes away! I could certainly car pool people down.

Jenn was talking about it. Dunno what she's decided.

I will probably arrive on the 11th because I may be coming directly from Albuquerque. I plan to have Danlo in my suitcase and it might be heavy. Not sure though, I might come into JFK and drive up to Boston. That would save me a boat load of money.sgt.null wrote:i know the weekend we are doing this. anyone heading up early?

I'll probably fly in with everyone else but I'm planning on staying the whole week.
Now if I could just find a way to wear live bees as jewelry all the time.....

Hi Menolly, I look forward to meeting you too. I think I mentioned earlier, if I head to the USA this year and it looks like I will, it's not just for the New England Fest but to catch up with some friends.Menolly wrote:SdS, I look forward to meeting you, but I really do hope you can plan on attending the TLD elohimfest in Albuquerque in the summer of 2014. As many Watchers as possible need to be at the last Covenant-oriented 'fest, IMO.
Never know, I might make it back again to Albuquerque but yeah, as blasphemous as this is to say, my travel plans have a non-SRD element to them!

It looks to me like we will overflow Jenn's houses and spill into a hotel as well. I don't think anyone has picked "a" hotel.
We should, so we can more easily bring people from the hotel to Jenn's house.
Here's a helpful link I found with some hotels in the area that are open in October. (October is off-season and so many if not most hotels are closed.)
www.capecodmarathon.com/inns.php
(I don't know how anyone else feels, but I am perfectly happy to bunk in a room at a hotel and leave the house space for those who need the more economical accomodations. [Yes, Falmouth is about 1.5 hours from where I live, and I want to be closer, so I will be getting a room probably.])

Do either of these houses have an enclosed yard? I'd be bringing Mani along for the drive. The tentative plan is to take the week before and after off so I would plan on arriving on or about Thursday. I could take anyone along the path from Chicago if interested.
