I'm sure it's been mentioned before. but...
... you know you're a Donaldson fan when you want to append the phrase 'think on that and be dismayed!' to everything that is said. <the irony being that I can't place which work the quote comes from, or even if it is Donaldson's

... you know you're a Donaldson fan when you carry a zone implant in your wallet when you go out on a blind date, just in case she's the one.
Dandelion don't tell no lies
Dandelion will make you wise
Tell me if she laughs or cries
Blow away dandelion
I'm afraid there's no denying
I'm just a dandelion
a fate I don't deserve.

You know you're a Donaldson fan when your kids' names are Morn, Nom, Vain, and Sorus.
Have you hugged your arghule today?

That's the end of Foul's message to the Lords, if I recall correctly.<the irony being that I can't place which work the quote comes from, or even if it is Donaldson's>

Yes, he said that at the end, after saying about Drool Rockworm. That Rockworm or not, he was the one to be really feared, and that the future was in his hands. Reminds me of how I said recently in the morning the day was looking to be quite easy and without much problems...shur-Lord Gudatetris wrote:I do that all the time!DukkhaWaynhim wrote:... you know you're a Donaldson fan when you want to append the phrase 'think on that and be dismayed!' to everything that is said.

There, one more:
You know you're a Donaldson fan when you see Donaldson-related things in the most distant and sometimes even normal things

And yes, that piece sounds awesome) And not only that

For I have begun my return upon this forum, and the future is mine. I will not fail to visit this place regularly again, or at least I seriously don't intend to.
True, I was reduced for a time. I have spent a few months working almost like a normal human. The time for the internet has yet to be caught on-for it and other things I shall exact my due. But I was not exactly converted![]()
One word more, a final ludicrous thing, at least for now. I have had to be content with behaving more or less human. But now my plans are laid, and I have begun. I shall not rest until the admins upload my items or it becomes apparent my efforts don’t really add to the chances for that, and at least will make some smilies to add with tags, and the Mallory’s gets a lot of posts from myself as well as converted newcomers, and many, many people I know get to read some SRD, or listen to, and understand at least something of that, though that may take more than everything else enlisted together, and… does it seem only to me I want a little much, and this is not the whole list yet? Well, got to get started somehow, at a risk to overcrowd this post with personalities not much compatible, everything that passes unattempted is impossible, especially making people understand something in SRD’s books.
Do I really have to say it now? Oh well. Think on that, and be dismayed! Or not. Or whatever. Not like I'm the #1 prophet. Or counselor

...and the extent to which you think of the idea of "outrage" as having many thoroughly positive connotations would probably surprise most of your RL friends. ?
"People without hope not only don't write novels, but what is more to the point, they don't read them.
They don't take long looks at anything, because they lack the courage.
The way to despair is to refuse to have any kind of experience, and the novel, of course, is a way to have experience."

...you use expressions like "attempting to compel" even with small children. (or, perhaps... ESPECIALLY with small children!)
