So-so Flick, great Soundtrack

Post by deer of the dawn »

I half-watched Excess Baggage the other day (Bob had it on) and it really had a great soundtrack. I know I've seen other movies like that before, the songs were great, the film not so much. City of Angels comes to mind, and Far North, a completely forgettable film with music by Hot Rize.

Any others struck you the same way?

Wes Craven's Shocker

...not so good movie, but great soundtrack. I still have it on my shuffle on my mp3 player.

We've done this one before.

I'll also add:

Escape from L.A.
The Cable Guy
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”
