For those that love Linden Avery
Many people on this site really dislike Linden... So I've decided to make a Topic about her, and the people that like her. If you don't like her... do not post in this topic... this is not the place.
So... Who here likes Linden? Why? What are your favourite moments in the book about her?

I like Linden. It is unfair to dislike somebody like her when her wost crime is that she's so much like Covenant, who all of you like. All she did was suffer severe emotional abuse her whole life and yet still she rose up to every challenge. My favorite moment has to be when she sacrifices herself to bring Covenant back so he can call Nom.
Dandelion don't tell no lies
Dandelion will make you wise
Tell me if she laughs or cries

I'm afraid there's no denying
I'm just a dandelion
a fate I don't deserve.

I love her when she assigns Pitchwife to the First's side. So awesome.

You do not hear, and so you cannot be redeemed.
In the name of their ancient pride and humiliation, they had made commitments with no possible outcome except bereavement.
He knew only that they had never striven to reject the boundaries of themselves.

I'll have to read the books again to figure out what's the most admirable moment. One of the most moving moments for me (though it isn't a character-defining choice of any kind) is when Covenant, Sunder, and Linden encounter the first aliantha plant they've seen this trip to the Land--and Linden, seeing the first healthy thing presented to her health-sense since she encountered the Sunbane, weeps. As though she can hardly decide whether to eat the fruit or worship it.

I think I agree with Lord Foul. TC in TWL without LA would have been aweful. You desperately needed someone who didn't care about the Land because they knew what it used to be like. The fact that she could see more pain and remember less beauty than him made the second chronicles so cool.
