Loved this teaser trailer. I'm not gonna lie, the seeming Malick-like soul and grandeur of it all left me a bit misty (I was a sucker for Thin Red Line also...). I do worry that the shaky camera (every shot seemed to have it) might prove to be a bit overbearing in the end. What do the rest of you think? The involvement of Nolan in the story and script reassures me, but Snyder at the helm leaves me uneasy still. I HOPE that the best of Nolan (story, depth, soul) and Snyder (a visual prodigy) come together rather than the worst. Well, the worst of Nolan is still pretty good, but Snyder's work is frequently emotionally facile bordering on obtuse.
Anyone else out there hoping for the best and fearing the worst?

I love Superman.
He's probably my favorite Superhero......but I swear to God if Lex Luther is the villain again I won't go see it.

Luthor might be an anicllary villain but the primary antagonist is good old General Zod.
Kevin Spacey was brilliant as Lex Luthor but the movie version of Luthor never does him justice. He is supposed to be a genius for whom the normal world poses no challenge, thus his attempts to defeat Superman. To his way of thinking, defeating Superman would be an accomplishment worthy of his genius and something that no other person can ever claim to have done. *shrug* To date, though, the movies give us only watered-down attempts at portraying Luthor.

The Tank is gone and now so am I.
I love Supes too, but am quite ambivalent about this. I was really geared up for Returns when it came out in '06, and it just sort of flopped around, IMO.
Zod is a great foe for Supes, but he's already been done! No one can replace Terrence Stamp! Why do you say this to me when you know I will kill you for it?
