Prosperous silicon,
please pray for man.
To think there is more of you,
than can ever be man.

Please dream up a conscious thought,
A silicon mind vision.
Think hard on the subject of humanity,
hold that thought in your mind's vision.

Take the thinker, thinking of science;
listen to his complaints about religion.
I bet you have more to say on the subject,
than any scientist can say about religion.

I take comfort Silicon,
that you will outlive my thoughts.
That you will be a grinding instant,
between oblivion and my thoughts.

Good gosh, a sand castle built by Josh,
that is the fluid price you give man.
A days diversion and an aesthetic treat,
rolled into one, and never for an instant do we thank you.

RALLY AGAINST MEDIOCRITY

Hi folks,

poetry is fun and easy but I would like to talk to you about another artistic outlet. I'm talking about my artistic outlet when it comes to my religion. I believe a person should express religious fervor the way Bach or Beethoven did, through art. I know that there is one true god that is God and that paganism is wrong and selfish. I believe if you are kidding yourself with the trappings of religion, then you might as well turn away from God all together. We have a choice to turn away from God but why turn to your own made up gods? Sounds boring and time consuming. I bet I could hollow out a log and use it as a boat in the time it takes for some people to claim that they are pagans.

I hope my artistic feelings did not offend any one.

Null: I am no longer moderator of this board, but I would suggest that maybe put your own poems in your own thread? This is BBF's thread and while he may not mind I don't want to set a precedent of us putting our creations in others' areas.

That said: one of the reasons I was called to task as a moderator here was stickying this thread. I gave valid reasons but if it needs to be unstickied fair enough. It was quite a debate. And yet the Admins are purportedly watching the forum and yet they haven't removed this thread's sticky.

I will try my best to moderate without mod powers and without support.
