What, even after my purchase of the paperback? Every little helps.

I've asked C for a kindle for Christmas!

So do I. I shall get it out on the bus and surprise everyone. I was at the hairdresser's last year and a young girl was having her hair done for a prom. When I mentioned I had a facebook page her jaw dropped and she just stared at me. Obviously I'm much too old for this kind of thing

One of my oldest friends has yet to join Facebook. I forwarded her a link to a study done by some German, I think, researchers that concluded that anybody today who doesn't yet have a Facebook account is likely a psychopath. I told her she'd better get on it!

Two of your friends are likely psychopaths, not just one. 8) There is something very 1984ish about facebook.

Spent the weekend watching the Lonesome Dove series. It was pretty good. Robert Duval is a great actor.

Got to go into Manhattan today for a meeting so my idiot boss can threaten me. Yuck. I hate it and I hate spending 40 dollars to park my car for 2 hours. They literally scream at me what am I doing to get these people out of the shelter. What am I doing???? What are THEY doing to get THEMSELVES out??? Nothing. Nada. They sit around smoking weed till 3am (with their babies breathing that shit), get up at 2pm, eat chinese take out and beer and smoke some more weed. And they want to know what I am doing.

God I hate Mondays.

...
An article about that article was spread on Skype where I work, had some laughs) Alsas it's in Russian, so no use linking it. As a particularly bright spot, it even reminded of the fact Chikatilo didn't have a Facebook account either. And, if that's any indication, I have access to, I think, four or five of those accounts, I wonder if I look like a person four times saner than nearly anyone... something makes me think Facebook accounts don't help all that much

Speaking of facebook, I'd be a lot more comfortable if everyone made themselves comfortable by adding me. I've spent the past decade trying to become one thing instead of many, and FB certainly helps. It's gonna be a lot more fun, as well, to watch it collapse from the inside once the share price implodes deeper

Hugs and thoughts to those in pain, physical and mental.

It's Monday, hence I should be in pain too but I'm ahead with my work so I spent the day 2nd hand bookshopping. Bought 10 books at a total of 24.50. That's cause for a wide-mouthed grin no?

Oh and here's what I've been doing with them. I found some cheap coloured shelving (self-assemble) and hit on the idea to match the book spines to the shelves. It felt wrong separating siblings from the same series, but I think the result was worth it.

Snazzy, Shaun! :)

Morning, pm me your FB name and I'll happily add you. :)

I think I'm coming down with a cold. :( Started getting the scratchy throat yesterday. I took some cold medicine before I went to bed last night and spent this whole morning sleepy. I hate that. Especially first day back at work after vacation.

I don't have to dust my books. :P

We had two bespoke identical bookcases built by a proper joiner when we had a big re-decorate a few years ago. They are in the 2 niches either side of the fireplace.

Gardening :D I long for October and the demise of this unsufferable heat. Nothing that can be eaten by a suitable person will grow before then.

Sent you a friend request, Morning. :)

lorin, you don't count as psychopathic -- you used to have a FB account. Bailing after trying it is actually a pretty good test for sanity, imho.

Agreed.

Besides, wouldn't it be sociopathic to not be on FB, rather than psychopathic?
