Died today aged 72 or 73 (according to who you read or listen to).

I remember him for San Francisco (1967). Flower power in full force. I went to the Ideal Home Exhibition and bought a bell on a pink ribbon to wear round my neck and some joss sticks. I wore the bell home, but didn't wear it again, and my parents wouldn't let me use the joss sticks. :D I was 15 at the time.
I am playing all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order!

My ol' pappy still loves that "San Francisco" song. He was 22 around that time. He met my Mom and got engaged with her that year.

Godspeed, Scott. You might have been responsible for the birth of Vader.

San Francisco always goes for me with Massachusetts by the Bee Gees. Both hits in 1967.

That's funny, because it's the same for me.

I hadn't known until now that Scott is one of the writers of "Kokomo", one of my favorite Beach Boys songs.
