Flash mobs

Post by lorin »

I just love the concept of the Flash Mob. Some of them can be stupid but many make me smile. I love to watch the surprise and happiness of the audience. They just seem so pure.

So I've decided to share the ones I really enjoy as they come along.

I love the Handel one, Lucimay! My daughter showed it to me a while back.

I also enjoyed these flash mobs which were done in honor of World Breastfeeding Week, believe it or not:

Love it, love it, love it. Bolero was fantastic, and Beethoven's 9th. I think I saw the Handel somewhere else, perhaps on here.

I am playing all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order!

The Hallelujah Chorus flash mob seems to be becoming a Christmas tradition. An awesome one, if you ask me!

I love some of those. I wish I could catch one live.

I happened to be in book store yesterday, saw Laura Ingraham's book, don't remember the name. Read the back, and one of her lines was about flash mobs, and how they were stupid. They should get out of her malls and grocery aisles and join local music club (or something like that). I thought at the time, what a loser. Then I watched these links, and most brought tears to my eyes, and I think, who would actually get upset at these things? I've paid 40-70 bucks to listen to a symphony, if I were surprised while shopping, and got to see one for free, I'd think it was one of the most blessed days of my life. How sad she would be upset.

Maybe it was all humor tho, I don't know the woman.

Thanks for all the links.

I love you for appreciating them like that. So much of spontaneity is missing in our lives. I think that's what I love most about them. Just a happy moment, pure and fleeting.

I looked for you in that one, lorin...shame you were not shown on-camera. While I have no specific knowledge, I have complete faith you would have put them all to shame.
