good luck with that. the LA Brown Outs seem a natural.

I am wondering how many times the NFL has to fail in LA for them to finally give up?

Dude, that was a legitimate hit.

Glad he's OK too.

You must be watching a different game. There was nothing remotely close to a head shot in that hit. That was shoulder-to-helmet, which was incidental to the contact.

The helmet being on the head. Richardson is a beast, but in my opinion Ngata is now the baddest Raven on the field. Hand down the crown RayRay.
I see the NFL network seems intent on rubbing Cleveland's nose in the 95 season. They really wanted us to have that moment for Art.
I can't help but feel like the elimination of Cribbs hurt us badly tonight, but even if he had been totally fine the Browns would not have allowed him to return after what happened with Colt McCoy.
Good game.

Just watched that hit from several angles. Yes the hit was legal, and absolutely targeted the head. Cribbs was wrapped up below the waist , and no longer running forward, and if he had wanted to tackle he could have. Ellerby went for the kill shot instead, and Cribbs knocked out on the field , and spiked in the face was the result. That and the fumble giving the Ravens short field. Really would like to see the Browns step up and answer this kind of thing. It's been going on for years now, and it's frustrating .

Joe Thomas deserves an Oscar for that flop, but he was clearly pushed.
Did not agree with the intentional grounding call, or the unsportsmanlike conduct on Shurmur, but they didn't cost us the game. Gregg Little dropping touchdowns did.

Some nailbiters and some blowouts.

The refs got some pretty obvious calls wrong in the NO, GB game that almost gave the game to NO. Back and forth all game, just when you thought the game would be in someones back pocket, the momentum would change. GB eeked out a win, NO goes home 0 - 4.

Pats came back in there game and put incredible numbers on the board for a win, especially since they went into the half at losing 21 to 7. They win 52 to 28.

I was at the Falcons/Panthers game so I have alot to say there in this close game. Carolina came to play in Atlanta and they showed they have been paying attention to tapes. They were incredibly hard to defend against because Cam will just run the ball. Carolina was ahead, poised to win with a minute and change on the clock when Cam, after getting the 1 yard he needed for first down where they could just run the clock down, fumbles. He recovers the ball himself but it puts them 4th and inches with no time outs. They decide to try to trick Atl into an offsides or encrouchment and instead gets a delay of game and they punt. Atl gets the ball at their own 1 yard line with less than a minute to play. Ryan throws a 49 yarder to Roddy, a couple of short screen to Gonzo, and bring out Bryant to get the winning field goal with 5 seconds left on the play clock. Falcons are 4 - 0 and although we hoped to put Carolina away soundly, every game cant be a blow out.

Saints need to pack it in. they obviously have no coaches who can make adjustments. they need to blow up the defense. going to get uglier.

Only watched 1st half of Eagles game. Their defense is looking a lot better than last year. But how can either of these teams survive w/such a poor offensive line? On the flip side, if either line starts to figure out how to block, these teams could become real contenders. Their defenses are pretty solid, D line slight edge to Giants (better against run), tho secondary edge to Eagles.

One of my picks--texans--looking good. But they haven't played anyone tough yet...week after next it happens...Ravens and Packers back to back. At home, luckily for them.
Poor, poor Jets. I'm weeping [not].

HEH: Ref-love didn't last long! GB they got cheered at opening, booed and spit at by the end. Cracked me up...especially since they deserved it.

Tony Romo throws five interceptions two returned for touchdowns! and he gets benched for the last drive, Kyle Oton goes on to throw a touchdown and throws for the two point conversion. Tony did throw one touchdown pass.

Josh Cribbs returned to practice for the first time since being "knocked out" of last Thursday's game in Baltimore . He revealed to reporters that both his wife, and brother had asked him to retire after this last hit, but that he's just not ready to quit yet.

Mr.Broken - I don't really know a lot about Cribbs so I looked him up.

wow. how was this guy undrafted out of college?

Cribbs played quarterback at Kent State University, where he is the all-time total offense leader with 10,839 yards. Other school records include rushing touchdowns (38), pass completions (616), pass attempts (1,123), passing yardage (7,169), touchdowns scored (41), and points scored (246).

He is one of only two true freshman in NCAA history to both rush and pass for 1,000 yards. He is also one of only five players in NCAA history to both rush and pass for 1,000 yards in at least two different seasons. Cribbs accomplished the feat three times. He is one of only four quarterbacks in NCAA history to rush for 3,500 yards and throw for 7,000 yards in his career.

Cribbs is also the only player in NCAA history to lead his team in both rushing and passing in four different seasons.

as a pro he has been an amazing return man. with 8 career td's on kick returns and another 3 td's on punt returns. add another 7 td's on pass receptions and another 2 rushing td's. and from his tackles from year to year it seems that he was used at one time on coverage teams.

if anything it seems the Browns haven't utilized his talents as much as they should have. his receiving td's should be way higher and he should have a few more rushing td's as well. and why doesn't he have more pass attempts and a few td's there as well? and I wasn't able to find any info on two point conversions, but he seems a perfect player for that role as well.

and I would also have him play the Randy Moss role defending Hail Mary's at the end of games. imagine him running loose with an interception.

Colts, GB game was awesome to watch. I couldnt believe they came back and won that game.

Browns started strong then just fell apart.

Bronco's had a squandered opportunity to win against the Pats after the Pats fumble the ball. Then the Broncos take it down to the 10 and fumble the ball themselves. It was game over after that.

Falcons won against the Skins but it wasn't a pretty win. Too many dropped passes. One fell right into the breadbasket and Julio just didn't grab it. I saw quite a few passing interference calls that weren't called on both sides of the ball. Refs were allowing a bit too much contact in my opinion. Ryan didnt have a good game either. He came around, but he was over throwing on quite a few. That might be due to the height of the D line coming at him. RGIII got nailed trying to run the ball. As the QB he needs to know when its time to just drop down and not try to be a a RB.

Saw the end of the Bengals Miami game... again an opportunity squandered near the end of the game as Dalton throws too high only to have a safety intercept.

The Browns are one game away from setting the franchise record for consecutive losses. The Mike Holmgren experiment has now reached epic fail status, and next year fans can look forward to a complete rebuild, again. A division win today against the Bengals might save Pat Shurmurs job until January, but at this point who cares.

It seems the leagues concern for player safety only extends to certain teams.

3 drives that could have been extended had the Refs been interested in enforcing the rules about hits on QBs.

I forgot , in Cleveland even an obvious fumble is unreviewable. Bring back the replacements. They had no agenda.

The Browns are fighting, but even a 10 pt. lead with 8 mins to go isn't cause for relief.

Interception! Interception! Pick six! Heart failure.
