Ours hasn't had anything really good yet - tourney pets and overpriced PvP gear. Hoping to see mounts, but figure they'll be out of my price range. Time to start playing the AH.

This week was our first week of raiding in the expansion. We've successfully downed the first four bosses of Mogu'shan Vaults - two yesterday, two today. Gara'jal was very tough due to the tight enrage timer, but Spirit Kings was stupid easy afterward - we downed them in two attempts.

We haven't got the first boss down yet, but we have got as close as 4%. As usual we progress a little slower than most groups, but level of difficulty seems about perfect for our group. Fun and challenging for our skill-set. Primarily we having attendance issues. Nothing new there. Can't down a boss with 8 people showing up for raids.

Classic legacy raiding.

Whoever designed the rank 8 fights in Brawler's Guild did a great job; I am frustrated as hell and enjoying every minute of it. I've killed 2 rank 8 bosses so far, two more to go! (Killed Zen'shar on Thursday, Millhouse Manastorm today; Epicus Maximus and Disruptron remain.)

What? I only have four.

I'm still not sure how I feel about this expansion. Haven't done any of the Brawler's Guild stuff yet. Tired of dailies. Can't get excited about raiding. Mostly struggling to accomplish things from old expansions, and mostly failing.

I'm enjoying myself a lot this expansion. Partly because there's loads of old content that's now soloable. (And current content, like the Brawler's Guild.)

Yesterday I soloed most of Ulduar - hard mode. Orbituary was a challenge, and I had to bring in help once I got to Thorim. Fun, though. First time in there on this account, and cleared out all but two achievements for the mount.

Nice.

My main frustration right now is that I can't solo the things I want to solo. (I know I couldn't do Ulduar.) But perhaps that will change when I get more gear.

Came online tonight to find that I had finally won an auction for the Brawler's Guild invitation (after casually biding for the past week or so), so perhaps I will check that out soon.

You'd be surprised. Ulduar is ridiculously easy. Mobs have less than 4 million HP, generally. The only tough fights I saw were FL with 4 towers up (would be simple with 0) - but that's about execution, not gear; Iron Council with Steelbreaker last, but that was more to do with nature damage while the little guy was up - the last phase was super easy; Vezaxx, who did a lot of damage when you had to stand around not hitting him for 3 minutes waiting for the hard mode; and Yogg-Saron, where the Corruptor Tentacles can really mess you up (we had to 3 man Yogg).

I also soloed VoA 10 man yesterday, and that was a total joke. (Killed before first grab, before first add overcharged, before first meteor fists. Toravon's dot hurts a little but still a pushover.)

So are you folks raiding again? I know you had trouble in late Cata.

We're a bit behind ourselves - poor attendance in November and December. In the last couple of weeks though we've killed Elegon and Will of the Emperor, and we'd already downed the first two bosses in Heart of Fear.

Guess I'm on a big soloing kick at the minute. Soloed ICC10man up to Valithria; 2-manned her and the last two bosses. Today I soloed Alysrazor for the first time.

Was the trash more difficult than the boss?

I'm still stuck on Sartharion. Got him to 16%, but I need to get my dps up enough that I can burn him before the other drakes land.

Trash isn't too bad, only have to keep moving. Just don't let any other mobs in the entire instance aggro on you other than the stuff in Aly's room and the Rhyo ramp (not including the miniboss, don't need to kill him - and I can't).

I had a little trouble surviving tornado phase, but that's about practice rather than it being hard.

Haven't tried soloing Sarth. Done 10 and 25 man in groups of 3, getting all of us the mounts.

I forgot to mention here that I got the Malygos 25 mount a couple of weeks ago. Maly is an easy solo on both difficulties.
