This week's strip for The Abominable Charles Christopher made me want to bump this thread again.

This is an incredible comic. The understated delivery of much of the main plotline (because of Charles Christopher's silence) works very well with the expressiveness of the artwork to make it quite an emotional story.

I've been reading a strip called Homestuck, from a site called MS Paint Adventures that has a few other strips (haven't read most of them yet but they seem like they should be good). It isn't finished yet, and so far is pretty long. I'm not actually caught up. I think it's pretty popular or something?

You can start the adventure at:
www.mspaintadventures.com/?s=6

The comic is occasionally interactive as you go through, though only within a strip - you don't like, affect the plot or anything (though I think that there is reader input into the commands entered that transition between each update on the forum...I know that some of the characters were named by forum users). Even more occasionally, you get a fully animated (and sounded) video of what the characters are doing, usually right before the end of the arc - these videos tend to be rather amazing IMO.

Here's my favorite entry so far: the second reenactment of a heartwarming scene from Con-Air: (warning: spoilers you probably won't follow)

Plugging a comic I read a while back and that has just won the Hugo Award for Best Graphic Story:

Digger by Ursula Vernon, about a wombat lost in a land of dead gods, talking shadows, and trolls.

Don't have one to post...but have to say that your kickoff choice prompted a tear. Just a couple days ago was the one-year anniversary of Savor Rhee's cancer surgery...and we remain watchfully optimistic.

Whoa, that wasn't even on my "radar" when I posted it here... but of course, now I remember it was around Thanksgiving that Menolly was going through stuff for that!

Don't worry about making this thread too wide if you want to post a wide-screen webcomic. Go for it!

One last request... lots of webcomics have adult themes...
...you can't spoiler images, so please put "may contain adult themes" in caps or large font above it.
For the children. Or maybe just for me. :P
As the moderator here, I don't feel comfortable with the idea of you making rules here. Also, "Webcomics" already had a thread; I don't see the need for two "Webcomics" threads, so I merged them.

As a nigh-powerless participant in this subforum, your assertion of that reality makes me moderately uncomfortable.
(Boo-hoo...)

But hey, I guess this thread works for that comic...

Heh, you sound so concerned.

OTOH, you may have helped me to realize something I wouldn't have otherwise.

And I like the one with dinosaurs, it's interesting how it gets away with using all the same pictures

So several years back, there was this webcomic called A Lesson is Learned But the Damage is Irreversible. It was excellent, but then stopped updating.

Long story short, last month they suddenly posted a new strip! Go read it!

Interesting take: Help Us! Great Warrior
Have to say I hate Tumblr as a format for webcomics (and for pretty much anything else).

That one above is mildly amusing. This one is really good:

This is pretty epic. (There are some spelling and grammar oddities, because it's translated. Still excellent. And loooooooong.)
