Does anyone think that Padme's Love for...

Talk about both the movies and the books.

Anakin was unconvincing in the film. I just thought that is wasn't real enough. That not enough reason was given for her to fall in love with him.

The acting was not of the first quality...the romantic scenes were not convincing to me. :(

I didn't really notice it to be bad or unconvincing...

Lucas could have replaced Anakin with a block of balsa wood and I wouldn't have noticed. Absolutely dire acting on his part, IMO. His descent into the dark side was unconvincing, and there was no reason for Padme to fall for him, unless she just wanted someone to carry her shopping

Even if the acting was first rate they had nothing to base their love on. Not even friendship.
Anakin was a small boy and she a teenager... the age differences were way off. They had nothing in common as far as I could see... the whole thing could've been just an arranged marriage.

The whole prequel thing is just dumb. The only thing I dare buy into is the creation of the empire and the storm troopers...

I fault the plot, not the acting. But if the plot were better, then I'd blame the acting, because it sure wasn't good. The only scene that worked was the scene in the field where he fell off some animal and she thought he got hurt. All other scenes were way forced, and the actors weren't good enough to overcome it.

Yes, I thought the acting was extremely weak. Not chemistry... Like trying to set water alight... they just weren't good for each other.

Totally unbelievable.

Hey Honey I just slaughtered a whole village. Not just the men, but the WOMEN & CHILDREN too!

There, there, that's OK - everyone has a bad day once in a while.

After that I was waiting for Hannibal Lecter and Hitler to show up and ask her out.
Every man is my superior, in that, I may learn from him.
