The gap commercials aren't too bad in my view. you get to see musical talents (often old school) giving a little of what made them great. What irks me are the Old Navy ones with the Brady Bunch theme song.(BLEECH!) I can't watch them! Horrible!(IMO)
Amen ,Danlo! Nothing is as bad as a political ad! Thank God the election is over. Are they as bad in other countries as they are here? The candidates should just strip down and mud wrestle!
Any phone commercial (I swear, sometimes I think if I hear one more ad about a dollar, a collect call, or static...) and Old Navy. the one currently making me cringe most, tho, is the Best Buy one with the guy playing Spiderman.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

I absolutely loathe Ralph Lauren Polo commercials. What a pretentious load of @#$%!!
The thing that surprises me is that my reaction is so visceral. These are not merely annoying commercials. They make my skin crawl, and my stomach turn.
Any commercial that's on late at night. I work second shift and when I get home I either go on line or watch tv to unwind. Why do all of the commercials have to be so much LOUDER than the shows/movies??? Why??? How can you doze off with the kitties when someone suddenly starts yelling at you about car insurance or some other dumb thing???
I hate that commercial! And those 10-10-220 commercials! 1-800-Collect commercials make me want to stick a pencil through my eye and swirl my brain around! Errr... You get my point.
I hate the Welch's Grape Juice commercails with that little girl talking about it. They are so drawn out. She takes a sip...takes another sip... says "mmm"...takes a sip..."That way.....I never miss the taste"
Eurgh... They are milking the cute little kid idea.
hmm. i missed the idea at the end of the sentence the first time across. sounded strange.
that pug-faced boy that does the welches commercials has always weirded me out on some level i can't quite explain.

yep. i thought steven was mildly amusing, but those interns act like they're 12 (no offense to anybody who is actually 12 intended).

My sis is an engineer for Dell. I think she was ready to start screaming loud primal screams if a single additional person asked her if she had ever met "The Dell Guy".
Being isolated from the rest of civilisation would appear to have its advantages
One of the local mags asked people which ads they liked the least and surprisingly enough, the one that ticks me off the most seems to one that is hated universally
