The Elohim were the ones who almost spoiled Linden 4 me...when in doubt blame the Elohim! :D But actually it's true: their glorification of The Sun Sage and their crappy treatment of TC. :x (a well placed :D tends 2 calm the natives down boss! :) )

Sorry, I got a little mad (not at you, just in general). But I guess the reason I'm always so defensive of Linden is because in several areas I identified with her (much in the same way I once identified with Holden Caulfield).

I guess all I'll do now is just kindly advise those who don't like Linden to try and get used to the fact that pretty soon we'll be spending 4 thick books with her as the main protagonist. Good news for me, bad news for some.

^^ Well said, dude. Those Elohim punks with their "Oh, we love the Sun Sage" stuff really cheesed me off. Hehe. If they love her so much, why don't the Elohim marry Linden?

And it's cool, LF. I'm just making sure that you know that, like most things I say, I'm just joking around.

Heh, yeah, the elohim don't know their history. They look at Covenant as if they don't even know all the stuff he did to defeat Foul in the First Chronicles. Sad, sad, sad!

Hey, I've never been a big Linden fan. No denying that she is in fact the co-Savior of the Land, a title she shares with Covenant, imo.

What implications would the Sun-Sage's death have upon the Land? I don't know, which is why I won't vote for the first option.

That's why I liked TC the most and NOT Linden...TC I understood completely throughout the series, Linden I never really cared about at all. Clearly Linden needs to sacrifice her own life to resurrect TC.

Perhaps the time between 2nd and 3rd Chrons has given LA time to mellow and become a more well-adjusted sort, similar to what happened in the gap between 1st and 2nd Chrons with TC.

Don't u agree TC became more sympathetic in the 2nd Chrons? Why, if Joan hadn't become possessed and transformed into a bloodthirsty pawn of Foul, TC might have achieved a happy curmudgeon-y equilibrium!

I agree with this statement completely. In fact, I think the only reason LA had any of the traits we came to recognize in TC is that SRD wanted that kind of character there, but he no longer wanted it to be TC with those characteristics.

Agreed. 67% positive is far too low.

(I admit, I'm tired right now and I didn't read ALL the prior posts. Forgive me.)
My hatred is simple.
1. They're called the chronicles of COVENANT, not Avery. I'd like the MAIN character to actually be a character the whole time. Odd half coma things kinda render him.. irrelevant. A vegetable can't really be the main character here.
2. More importantly, she whines. Forever. TC sees his issues, sees his crimes, and acts. He doesn't whine about his life. He lives one. LA lives, yeah, but her actions all come off as a background to her incessant internal catalog of what has been done to her, and her contradicting herself, saying it's her own fault, then denying it again, and learning nothing from her circling and all too shallow thoughts. Put a little shorter, we GET IT. Your childhood sucked. You became a doctor for the wrong reasons. And you wanna do better, but you find it really, really hard to do so. You can stop rephrasing it. Please.

In case you couldn't tell, I voted for her death. LOL. And now my intense hatred for LA has woken me up. Drat. I needed my sleep. :-(
