Nice. I probably won't be trying Maly any time soon - I'm just too inept at the last phase. You'd probably have an easy time with Sarth; I max out at about 30K dps as a holy-geared shadow priest. It's rough being a mediocre dps this expansion.

I got the 10 man Maly mount too last week.
Final phase is easy at 90. When you first get on drake, spam 3 to stack up HoT. When Maly becomes attackable, cast 1,1,2,3 over and over as fast as your energy regen lets you. So long as you don't sit in a lightning field for more than a few seconds at a time, you'll kill him. Your health bar barely moves.

You underestimate my ineptitude with the final phase on Maly. I hit the enrage timer twice. Granted, I survived long enough to hit the enrage timer, but I still hit the enrage timer. Twice. The first time I thought I'd taken too long with the Scions, but I don't think that was the problem. I just wasn't doing much damage to him on that last phase.
At any rate, I got the blue drake back when it was available from the Oculus. Given my luck with rare drops (still don't have Rivendare's horse), I'm not going to obsess about the azure drake. Really just want the one from Sarth, which I've been trying to get for almost 4 years now.

Sarth 10 is almost soloable depending on your damage; Sarth 25 can be done easily with 3-4 people. In fact, I did Sarth 25 with a few guildies and we swapped in alts (got 3 of us drakes, then came back week later for 4th) to the point of having only one level 90 who was doing 30k dps, with a level 85 tank who kept dying, and we still managed to kill it before he went immune from the drakes joining.

So are you guys raiding at all these days?
We only got one boss down on the first week, and spent the rest of the time wiping to Horridon (though it was a week cut short, as a lot of people were not available on the 2nd day). This week, we one-shot Horridon and got Council of Elders down after a bit of work.
Today, we spent a couple of hours wiping on Tortos before finally killing it. It's a pretty simple fight, but controlling the bats while avoiding and healing through all the other stuff makes it pretty brutal.
We got 2 pulls in on Magaera before the end of the raid, and she seems a lot easier.

We're still a bit short on bodies. I thought more would come wandering back after the patch.
I'm a substitute healer in my horde guild's progression group, meaning I run when a main can't make it. They've cleared Vaults, working on Amber-Shaper Un'sok in HoF, and killed the first boss in ToT.

We ended tier 14 with 3 heroic modes. We only cleared Sha of Fear a few weeks before the patch, so didn't get much time on Heroics - got the first three in MSV down and got close on Elegon.
Gara'jal Heroic was a one shot, a total joke if your dps is halfway competent - the fight's basically the same as normal mode. Feng was easy, just took some practice to get the adds to group up right on the new phase.
I think our worst progression in the tier was Amber-Shaper. Took a very long time (a couple weeks of work) to down him. After that it gets much easier (first two Terrace bosses are not hard at all).

Garalon was pretty bad too. I wasn't there the night they finally downed him, but I hear there was a lot of cheering (and probably a bit of swearing) in vent.
Amber-Shaper is a pain. I'm supposed to be practicing in LFR this week, but I don't think healers get reshaped in LFR.
As for heroic Elegon - eek. He's the one Vaults boss we don't exactly have on farm. On normal. But it's a very casual (and frequently drunk) raid team. They're a fun group to run with, and I will have some useful information when (not if) Legacy starts raiding again.

Elegon isn't bad; it's the same fight with bigger numbers, plus the whole thing where you have to pop a cooldown on a dps to absorb the add explosion.
Elegon normal was getting to be a joke for us by the end of the tier, because we were killing up to 6 waves of sparks in each transition. He'd be almost dead before he hit phase 3.
Our only real issue there was the timing on adds - if one spawned too close to a phase change it'd cause us problems.

Nice. We're still on the '2 people alive and seconds before berserk' part of our progression. Not to mention countless wipes at under 5%. But I can see it getting easier. Those fights usually do.
The worst part for me was coming in on Imperial Vizier Zor'lok when I was the only one who didn't have the attenuation dance down. I'm sure it's no surprise to anyone that I wasn't the fastest learner. But they were very patient and assured me that they'd all gone through the same thing, while I'm thinking 'Riiiiiiight, sure you died this many times.' But I got invited back the next week, so either they were telling the truth, or they were really desperate.

At first Attenuation seemed tricky, but then I found out you just run in a circle. I mostly manage to take no damage from it, sometimes 1-2 hits.
On Elegon: Wiping to berserk is usually an execution problem on that boss. (If you're killing Garalon then your overall dps should be high enough for Elegon.) Once we successfully made it to p3 with everyone alive, we killed the boss with time to spare. How many sparks are you killing in each wave? You want to be getting 4 both times.

I think our execution is okay. It's probably a dps issue. We had 3 who were only doing about 70K. It takes us a bit longer than it should to reach p3, then the burn phase is pretty painful. Likewise on Garalon, I believe only our Monk was left standing at the end. But we're getting better. That was pre-nerf. We've spent the last couple of weeks locked on Amber-Shaper. We're all tired of mantids, but we need to get a full clear in before we can touch Terrace.

I haven't done the first 3 MSV bosses with them, so I don't know what Gara'jal progression was like. I think they are one-shotting him now, and I think we have a current Elegon lock since we weren't able to down him last time. I'll pay more attention to the sparks if I go next time they attempt him.

No Elegon this week. Progress on Amber-Shaper, though we didn't down him.
I broke one of my personal rules and put a character in my Horde guild's Alliance branch. I don't like playing both sides on the same server. Also have mixed feelings about the whole thing. They need healers for their new progression team, and I don't want to burn out again. And I feel like I'm stretching my loyalties by having characters in three guilds; it's a lot to maintain. Though there is a lot of crossover between Rage and Phoenix, even shared vent. They're really two sides of the same guild. See, I can totally justify it in my head.

Heh. I doubt anyone would blame you if you decide you don't want to overstretch and burn out.
I've only ever played one guild and one raid group at a time, don't know how people find the time for multiple mains.
News: Our guild got Magaera and Ji-Kun down this week. Ji-Kun didn't take long at all - even though we kept getting behind on platforms, we were able to just burn the boss. Got our first few pulls on Durumu, which is complicated but could be fun.

If nothing else, it gives me an excuse to level another priest.
And it looks like they're only raiding one day a week, so far. Still not sure if I want to commit to that, since that would be three nights a week if Rage needs me too. I'm already tired of mantids.
Grats on your progression. You're moving along nicely.

Hey! I'm back on WoW again. (After a 2 year lapse)
OK Watchers... where are y'all at?
I have 3 characters: ImaginosBOC (L 31 rogue), Gromble (L 14 warrior), and Ardielle (L 14 monk).
If anyone sees me, stop and play, OK?
(PM me and let me know who's who)
