Best Bond Film
Which is your favourite James Bond film... mine is Golden eye... but I haven't seen too many of the old ones.

I like Goldeneye a lot, also On Her Majesty's Secret Service, and don't forget Live And Let Die, with Queen Jane Seymour. But my favorite is Octopussy. It has some of the sharpest eye-candy of the series, and Louis Jourdain's accent is ear-candy.

It's al long time since I watched any of the old ones, so I couldn't really pick one out at this point. Of the more recent ones, I really like Goldeneye, and I have to say I thought Die Another Day (despite the awful title - they just seem to be getting worse) was one of the best Bond films I have ever seen. It had all the quintessential Bondness, didn't excessively overdo the gadgets like a lot of the new ones have, featured the one real defeat of 007 while also being the most old-school Bond since Sean Connery gave it up. It felt like all the edginess of the new Bonds with all the charm wit of the old Bonds.
Hey, I like it, too. Moonraker was actually one of the most enjoyable (and least offensive) 007 pictures in my mind. It's James Bond in space! What more do you want? Lois Chiles (Dr. Goodhead) was one of the best partners Bond ever had, and Hugo Drax was a memorable villain. Also, the friendship between Jaws and Dolly, the petite blonde girl, was touching, if a little weird.TOM C wrote:My favorite is the one nobody will say they like. Moonraker.
Favorite all-time (i.e. least annoying) Bond film? Maybe Thunderball. It's a model of efficient directing and tight editing. I don't think there's a boring moment in the movie.
But I'm also quite charmed by Die Another Day. Very well done, and hardly annoying at all. CovenantJr perfectly summed up the movie.

You don't so why should I?
Goldeneye is my least favorite, not only is Bronsan almost my least fav Bond (anyone can act better than Lazenby-well mayb xcept for that idiot in Clones who tryed to play teenage Anakin) the fact that his bod didn't snap in half when he hit the helicopter has got to be the most unbelievable Bond stunt of all time!
You Only Live Twice had the potential to be the best Bond film ever but drowned itself in camp-I personally like Thunderball for Connery films, not that anyone will agree with me. For sheer trippiness the Man With the Golden Gun was great but Villeshevet (Tatoo) ruined it 4 me. I really liked the Dalton film even tho I can't remember it's name. I'd have to rank it as fav along with The Spy Who Loved Me, yes I love Jane Seymore but from some reason I had a strange urge to storm Ringo's mansion during that film

Well, MM and Ur-Vile don't think I'm nuts. Moonraker is one of the first films I got on "Video Disc" back in the early eighties. I played the crap out of it so that may have something to do with my bias. The Drax character is one of my favorites. He has some terrific lines. I bought Die Another Day and I enjoyed everything except the CGI bond. Live and Let Die gets my vote for best theme song. Thunderball is my favorite Connery. Timothy Dalton's best is The Living Daylights. I am very ashamed to say I've never seen Her Majesty's Secret Service. I'm sure George L. sucks as bond but I'll reserve judgment until I've experienced it for myself.

I like Golden Eye the best. 006 was bar none teh coolest villian for me. Sean Bean was excellent.
Thunderball is my Favourite from Connery
