Too bad I saw this after I looked at it. I did check for more info before opening, and was told it was something those listed would relate to. Since it was all GT players, I trusted.
I didn't keep the email around to have another look (wishing I had so I could double check, but I deleted it then remoed from the deleted bin), but any email with a generic title and just a link inside seems dodgy to me.
I sort of feel like I ought to stand up and defend my actions as mod. Mostly I feel like I have already done so, and I am disinclined to get into a public flame-war on the issue.
Anybody wishing to have a friendly conversation about it, feel free to send me a PM.
I would like to clarify some actual communications issues, though.
1) sometimes, when I get a timeout from the system while trying to post a message, and then eventually hit refresh page to make it go through... before resubmitting the post... it will end up entering the post twice in close succession. This isn't an emphasis, it's just a system hiccup.
2) "HATE" some something I say in response to someone who tells me news that displeases me. Usually, this is because of some error I have made. It's all tongue in cheek when I say that in response to someone calling me out on something I should have seen. It's all quite friendly, though I can certainly see that in a group of non-GT folks, it could be construed as pretty belligerent. That's why Menolly laughed, I assume... she knew that I was just being a snot about it.
It'll still be a while before we move into the next stage of the game, I think, but we're at least getting to the end of the prologue.
I keep telling myself not to stick my hand into how people or playing, but I can't hlep myself on this: Reach out. Make yourself known and wanted. Try not to just do everything for your existing followers - there's only so much you can get back out of them.
I have certain plans to provide more growth opportunities a little further down the line.

And, just to be clear... that's by the end of the day on Monday, July 29th, right?
I'm taking that week off, since we have Ore-Sama's niece in town. I get to shepherd her to and from the kids camp she's going to be in, so while I'm off work, I'm mostly idle during the day. I plan on spending a lot of time in a local Starbucks and working on various games.
I'm told that The Murrin does not appreciate people coopting his threads for their other games. Suffice it to say that I will most certainly be spending time on Heart of God, which is the only game that matters (on this thread).
