God, I hope they keep the satire and dark humor...and the dirty/gritty look.
I saw one short trailer on utube. It SEEMED ok on those fronts, but it was really short...like 45 seconds.

I think there may have been a space battle in that spoof film with Denise Richards [ ] in it - what was it called..........Starship Troopers!
Was there no space battles in the last three Star Wars prequil trilogy?

The "tree battle" in Avatar made that awful movie worth watching.

Saw Star Trek - Into the Darkness. Surely a good place for a full on space battle, but no. I was generally dissapointed with the film as a whole.
Was Avatar really that bad Cail? Yes it was scmaltzy in places [toe-curlingly so in some] but I thought overall you could forgive it it's failings and have a good couple of hours of fun viewing. The 3D and the CGI etc were for me, the best I had seen to date - To add to your tree scene I could suggest the flight scenes around the cliff's etc, the floating islands scenes, the general beauty of the flora and fauna; there was much there to enjoy surely?

It was better in Disney's Pocahontas.
Same story but with better music.
Was Pocahontas not a much earlier traditional cartoon format?

Ferngully was more compelling and had better characters.
Avatar is in my "Top 10 Worst Movies".

But will the sequel, which apparently is going to happen, be better or worse than the sequel to Ferngully?
