Haven't read TLD yet but this view hits the spot for me. IMO AATE was 'overwritten' - SRD himself has admited himself many times that this is a 'fault' of his. Perhaps under the guiding hand of an editor with a bit more 'clout' (think LDR) this would have been done and the end result would have been a more pleasing and rounded trilogy instead of four heavyweight books that have been frankly a bit of a trawl in places.madship wrote:IMO, AATE could have been condensed into a few chapters split between FR and TLD.

So you mean that I finished TLD over the weekend and pestered dlb into letting me into this forum today...because I didn't want spoilers before I'd read the book, like happened with AATE...and YOU GUYS HAVEN'T BEEN POSTING ANY SPOILERS?!?!?
