Really? Well, it's OK if you can drive, I suppose. A bit cold though!

I think I might be feeling a bit jaundiced with my brothers and sisters of the human race today - I spent most of last night trying to stop them falling about all over the shop too drunk to stand, shoplifting anything that wasn't nailed down and waiting for them to decide whether to spend thier benefit money on white cider or scratchcards; all a bit soul destroying really.

Poor Peter. I've worked in shops, but in the late 60s and early 70s and no-one misbehaved around the biscuit counter (Woolworths) or the knitted dress counter (C&A). I wouldn't like to do it now. My main bugbear would be people on mobile phones completely ignoring the person who is serving them. The height of rudeness - I wouldn't last five minutes.

Incredible photos Frosty. Love the way the sheep are looking right into the lens in the first one; they're such good posers.

As for the whereabouts of sheep in last pic... They're inside the hut sitting by the fire with a mug of warm sheep drink.

Nice keys Iolanthe!

The historic center of Hameln (Hamelin) looks like Disney built it for their theme parks. I live in a small village just outside Hamelin.

The new mall.

The old water mill. Hence the city arms: a millstone with the cathedral on it. Now it houses the library and crap restaurant. There used to be an Egyptian restaurant in there. Sadly the family who run it closed it and moved back to Egypt.

And of course the pied piper. It happened here back in 1284 and I still remeber that day like it been yesterday.

Lovely, all of them, Vader. Disney had to base their theme parks on something, nu?

So, what is growing in the field in the panoramic shot which is yellower than the surroundings?

The Americas has a variety of eagles. The one above is the national bird of the USA, the bald eagle, of course.

I assume Germany has a variety of eagles as well?

He's absolutely adorable! Congratulations. Does he help Creator play WoW, or does he stay on the side of the keyboard? Here's my youngest, adopted about two months ago:

She settled right in with a minimum of drama; she grew up in shelters and was used to living with other cats. Min was a bit snarky the first couple of days because she's used to being the princess, but she got over it.

Image

Not so helpful with boss fights though, I have threatened to make her do dailies to help with repair bills.

Aww! Wish we could get the Lady Morgana to quit sniping at Mr. Wommy. Poor guy. :( At least she'll tolerate him being within 18 inches of her now -- as long as he doesn't look like he's going to get any closer.

I left off getting into cloud pics. Heres a recent shot in B&W of a mild example of .." Asperatus Undulatus"..The Asperatus is a new name for a type of roiling cloud. The name is still under review by the British Royal Scientists but it looks likely...

I'm really glad to see your pics again. This is one of your best. I think the black and white enhances it.

Hiya Lorin. I trust you are doin fine. .I decided to do B&W a little over a year ago. Yes, it takes cloud photography to a whole different place. I'm having a ball with it. It seems its just been one constant experiment. I've thinking of getting a printer that can do 11x14 but I am my worst judge and editor. Let me kno what you think . okay?
