I was surprised that the Saints beat the Cowboys so handily and by such a margin. That was definelty a signature win!

The Seahawks showed up to play and the Falcons phoned it in that same day. I wasnt surprised at all. I wouldnt put too much emphasis on that win for the Seahawks as they beat a 2 - 7 team that is struggling to put 60 mins together against the bottom of the barrel teams. Falcons this year have a porous offensive line and no pass rush. The stats dont tell the whole story on the QB. Even though Ryan is not getting 'sacked' alot, he is finding himself on the ground and without a pocket. Too many games of that is making him skittish.

Ravens managed to beat the Bungles and keep the season alive.

This week we get to find out if the Chiefs are for real.

The NO/SF game was a nail biter. Really good coaching and execution on NO's part. SF is a good team. NO is just a little better. When NO got the ball at the end, there was never any doubt in my mind that they would win.

The Falcons need to start over. First 3 plays of the game, Matt got sacked 3 times by the same guy. Come on!!! Really??? By the half, Smitty had pulled some of the dead weight first stringers out and put 2nd and 3rd stringers in. Funny enough, people have been calling for Matt Ryan to be replaced by the second string QB Dominique Davis. DD lasted all of 4 plays and due to poor OL blocking he got nailed and now might be out for the season. At this point I dont care what QB you put behind the line, they wont produce for long because they ARE going to get hit and hit often.

I watched part of the KC/Denver game. KC just wasnt up to the task that day. They have to be playing their A-game to beat Denver and they didnt bring the A-game. Still hope to see KC be a first seed!

There were a couple botches, especially in the first half, that could have changed things...
In my world, it makes the rematch on KC's turf 2 sundays from now much more interesting.

I really really really wish the Steelers would stop wearing those uniforms.
It hurts to watch.

The Falcons were also coming off a short week so no factor. The Falcons played their most complete game in the last 4 games. There were chances to win the game that were left on the field by a free agent rookie. Darius Johnson (WR) played an outstanding first half, the running game got off the ground nicely and the defense showed up big time. The score at the half was 14 to 13. In the second half the Falcons held the Saints to a low of 3 points. The same Darius Johnson that was key for us in the first half dropped two game winning passes. One was incomplete with no one between him and the Goal. The second was a fumble on the 10 yardline. So all in all a good game to watch and at least the Falcons were competitive. But the Saints avoided what easily could have been an upset.

All that being said. The O-line continues to be porous and not allowing Matt Ryan time to throw consistantly and no time for a long play. I'm surpised that he hasnt gotten hurt this season.

I watched the Cowboys/Giants game. It was a fun game., lots of energy and 'fight'. Both teams did pretty well but it was obvious that the Cowboys were playing better ball.

Went to bed at half-time of the Manning/Brady Ice Bowl. Too bad. Greatest deficit come-back win of a team reknown for come-back wins. Maybe I will go to bed at half-time for all further Patriots games ... it's only crazy if it doesn't work, right?

Ravens managed to put together a decent game, though granted it was against the Jets. Still, the defense looked great, and they were able to establish a running game.

With Pitta's return looking like Week 14 against the Vikings, they can finally rid themselves of the handicap that is Tandon Doss.

I gave up on Pats during 2nd quarter. Couldn't hold onto ball. Seems Broncos repaid the favor in 2nd half/OT. Still, look at what the loss of Wilfork has done, 224 from Moreno.

Didn't get to watch much, just saw the Cowboys drive to win against Giants. Didn't get much highlights either. But what happen to Colts? Loss of Reggie Wayne that crucial maybe? And the Cards are looking good, w/Palmer playing competently. With the Rams crushing the Colts and Bears over last 3 weeks, NFC West looks like toughest division in football.

Redskins Niners game. Niners won this handily. I did not watch this game but after watching the highlights I note that the 'Skins have the same issue Atlanta has. They dont have a good enough O-line to protect the QB which leads to not being able to convert on 3rd and turnovers. The issue isnt RGIII at all but I bet the fans are blaming him for alot of this mess of a team.

WTH?! Falcons and Jags win the same week?

Falcons looked decent for the first time in a while. They played 4 .3 qtrs of solid football. The game started out terrible with Ryan getting sacked 3 times and 2 three and outs and the score 0 - 14. Then it was like the OL figured some stuff out and the Falcons did a good balance of run, pass. By the half it was a tied game. Then the Falcons are ahead but the center mishandles the snap and gives the Bills the ball 10 yrds from the goal line. Then its tied again. Finally its forced into OT where the Falcons are able to get a good strip of the ball from a receiver. A few plays later a FG and a win.

Big win for the Eagles. Cards had been playing well. May be the 1st good win for an NFC East team this year. Foles now 19TDs, no picks. They control their destiny for division championship.

Good game b/w Broncos and Chiefs. Much better than the first. But the Chiefs defense, which helped them to 9-0, let's them down 2nd week in a row. Chiefs still had a chance to tie at end, couldn't convert 4th and 4.

I think so far this week, all division leaders have won. So yea, Falcons and Jags surprising, but really, nothing big. But tonite's game is a big one. Saints need it for home field, otherwise they'll have to beat Hawks at home to get to Super Bowl.

Texans complaining about Pats spying again. But a big day from Gronk, maybe that offense is starting to get it going. Can the defense hold up?

Looks like the comment from the Texan was just a joke.

Seahawks in the Super Bowl? Looks like Broncos/Seahawks at this point. It seems Peyton doesn't do well in freezing temps, so NJ in Feb?

If God keeps being the fan that he has been, it will be an 60 degree day that day in Feb in NJ.

Playing at the level they are right now, I dont think anyone can beat the Seahawks. However it can change before your very eyes in the post season. I remember Green Bay destroying teams in the regular season, finishing with an almost perfect record and being one and out in the playoffs.

It will be interesting to see what the rest of the season holds. Some good games coming up this week that should be worth watching. Lions and Eagles, Niners and Seahawks, Saints and Panthers. Time to see who is wearing the big boy pants.

No doubt SB, big games on hand. I'm excited to see if Eagles can beat good teams back to back. I only get crappy NY networks tho, can't watch it :(

SD, as a Seahawk fan, get ready for some extra punishment for all their DBs getting caught w/roids. Unlucky, or dumb (b/c I'm assuming most players use them).

WF, depends. Some fans like a messy affair, or ice, or fog. Takes all kinds.

Crazy day. Missed most of highlights, only caught a few. Like McCoy's 57 yd TD in the blizzard. Good win for Eagles, but not sure it really says much, like most snow games. Blizzard hurts Lions and Calvin Johnson more than Eagles. But they keep winning!

Pats in real trouble. Get down big early, now lose Gronk. I don't see them winning in Denver.

Big win for Niners, may have clinched wild card. Panthers will need to beat Saints later at home w/other teams breathin down their neck. Big win for Saints.

Pats have been in real trouble all along. They play like a team that should be 5 and 8. Somehow they are 10 and 3. So, while it doesn't seem that they can do well in the playoffs ... I can't really say they won't.
