Journey's Open Arms was heard as "...and now I come to you with broken arms..."
Have you hugged your arghule today?

Speaking of Tom Waits, the line from Jitterbug Boy:
"Resting on my Laurels and my Hardys too."
The first version I had of this song was a bootleg live show, and my favorite of many of the songs on it, but he sounded tipsy, and slurred a lot. As a result, I used to think it was:
"Resting on my laurels and my heart is soup."
I actually like the song more with these lyrics instead of a cheap joke based on an old comedy duo.
Life is a waste of time
Time is a waste of life
So get wasted all of the time
And you'll have the time of your life
"Blazing potato pulls apart a holy copper shrine..."
-Abney Park, Beautiful Decline
Actual line is "Pleasant patina pulls apart a holy copper shrine..."
It really doesn't seem like they should sound that much alike, but I had to Google the correct lyrics because I apparently can't unhear 'blazing potato'.
Oh, a change is coming, feel these doors now closing
Is there no world for tomorrow, if we wait for today?
"Living On Tulsa Time " by Clapton was heard as
"Living on Toast and Wine". What a great breakfast!
Have you hugged your arghule today?

First time I heard Gwen Stefani sing, ""Cause I ain't no hollaback girl", I thought it sounded like, "'Cause I ain't no farming black girl!"...even though I KNEW that couldn't be right.
