The RNC has chosen Cleveland as the host city for their 2016 convention, edging out Dallas. At first I thought, "why?" but then I realized--the Republicans will probably already win Texas in 2016 (with the exception of Harris, Dallas, and Travis Counties) but Ohio will be (as always) a "battleground" State. I suspect that they are hoping by pandering to Ohio (let's be truthful, here--having the convention in Cleveland will boost the city's economy) that they can win that State, as well. The fact that the DNC is also looking at Cleveland means that my suspicion is likely true. No city has ever hosted both conventions in the same year, to the best of my knowledge, though.
One person has already said "Romney" and others are thinking "Perry"; my response to either one is "not just no but hell no".

The GOP primary should be interesting. Carson? Cruz? Paul? Lee? Brown?
