RIP Robin Williams
Wow. Since Mork & Mindy, Robin Williams has been one of the funniest comedians in TV and film. My favorite movie of his is Dead Poets Society. He'll be missed. Godspeed.

"New material?"
Fist, there was a constant stream
Robin could ad-lib!
Truly a sad day

Robin inspired my "alt's"
Nacent stand-up act
Not just a comic
Also scary drama skills
Mourn a great actor...

I read a news story just now that said when he was at Julliard, he was sometimes one of only two students in the class. The other was Christopher Reeve. And the professor was John Houseman.
Oh, to have been a fly on the wall...
The whole thing's just so sad. The news reports have been saying he suffered from depression, but a social worker friend says he was actually bipolar. I can definitely see that -- some of his humor was so manic.

"Bicentennial Man" was my favorite. I'll miss him.

Other movies -
Although it has been mentioned everywhere on Facebook, it is one of my favorite movies of all time, and definitely my favorite Gilliam flicks and my favorite Robin Williams movie:

Some others that haven't been getting any love:

Edit: Oops...looks like you did have Toys in after all. It must not have loaded the first time I tried.

This is so hard to look at. How do we get to this point? I always felt his depression under all that mania. I feel that way about Jim Carrey too.
When he was not 'on' he was a very decent actor. But I couldn't watch his manic stuff. I felt it was off, very bipolar. Another one lost to the void.
so sad.
