I'm sure my list will be weirder than most.

lots of stuff posted that I agree with, OK Computer yes, DSotM, WYwH and Animals certainly, Rumors yep, but on the zep I'd go with

Houses of the Holy

and others for me are

Bringing Down the Horse - wallflowers

Are You Experienced - Hendrix

The Hissing of Summer Lawns - joni

Aja - steely dan (also Katy Lied, Pretzel Logic, and Royal Scam)

Living with the Law - Chris Whitley

Kind of Blue - miles davis

Born to Run. that's right. Born to Run is a perfect album. :P

and finally, I'm gonna have to agree with Bat Out of Hell. :D

(I'm sure my list of perfect albums, of which these are just off the top of my head right now and just a few of, is going to be vastly different than the "perfects" of others. I'm okay with that.)

Found this thread via U's trending thread!

These are from my youth - on vynil:

This is Soul, various artists (Warm & Tender Love, When a Man loves a Woman etc. Evokes memories of Sunday evenings in the church hall after church and also the Pirate Radio stations off the Essex coast).

Days of Future Past (Moody Blues)

Bridge over Troubled Water (Simon and Garfunkel)

Sergeant Pepper and Norwegian Wood (Beatles)

Later:

Any Queen album (I think I have most of them on CD)
I am playing all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order!

You're only encouraging him to keep it up, y'know. ;)

With the full orchestra? Agreed! (Another album I used to have... :( )

And another vote for S&G -- sweet!

Also a good choice, though I think I would go with Court and Spark.

Sadly I don't have my original Days of Future Past. I exchanged with someone for a Johnny Cash album but we never got round to swopping back. However, C bought me another album to replace it (with orchestra and poem). Nights in White Satin is "our song". :D

Sound of Silence - favorite on S & G. I've been lucky enough to accompany the group I play for singing both that and Bridge over TW.

Others may not agree, but I have to add Slayer's Reign In Blood and Seasons In The Abyss.

There are very few that I would consider perfect.

If anything comes to mind at all I would say Replicas by Tubeway Army. I love that album!

You have very diverse taste in music, Cail. Public Enemy, NIN, Slayer, et cetera. I like PE as well. Did you ever listen to any of their newish stuff? Chuck D is still at it and telling the youngins what time it is (probably through surreptitious glances at Flava Flav's clock).

Phi – Truckfighters.
Dirt – Alice in Chains.
The Elephant Riders – Clutch
Undertow – Tool
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

I'm not sure I can actually think of a single album I own which doesn't have at least one song I'm not so keen on. Hmm.

That's probably true of most of the albums that I own, but once in a while there's one that just had great songs from beginning to end.

Thought of another one: Juju by Siouxsie and the Banshees

Alright, after a quick look through my stuff there are maybe some where I can't point to a track I don't like. I have a very hard time calling anything "perfect", but these are all good.

Anthem by Less Than Jake is pretty strong.
Danger Days by My Chemical Romance would be all around great if it wasn't for the non-music "Doctor Death Defying" parts.
Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not by Arctic Monkeys is all good, and Suck It And See is one track off (Brick By Brick).

The more I listen to it... the more I like it... the more it possesses me...for...its...own purposes... :lf:
