[Dim head on; Whats a TED talk?]
President of Peace? You fucking idiots!

"I know what America is. America is a thing that you can move very easily. Move it in the right direction. They won't get in the way." (Benjamin Netenyahu 2001.)

....and the glory of the world becomes less than it was....
'Have we not served you well'
'Of course - you know you have.'
'Then let it end.'

Ted Talks is a program that invites guest speakers to speak on an array of topics. The conversations are limited to 20 minutes, but I have seen many go over the mark and many more in 2 and 3 minute spots. They can be very inspiring and entertaining. All the talks are free access on the net

This one is a bit unusual. I don't know what peeps will think...but it's a kind of thing I like, and seek out particularly when I'm tense and feel mentally cornered/bogged/cycle-trapped. It's more performance than "talk," and it popped in my head cuz of u.'s narrative thread---

the difference between evidence and sources: whether they come from the horse's mouth or a horse's ass.
"Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation."
the hyperbole is a beauty...for we are then allowed to say a little more than the truth...and language is more efficient when it goes beyond reality than when it stops short of it.

Love me some Brian Greene.

Following the 2011 talk, apparantly Maestro Whitacre did a follow up talk in 2013, putting together a live performance using three college choirs on stage and 30 singers from 30 countries Skyping in.

There was this one with these really unusual dancers or something, can't remember the name for the life of me and am about to head off to work so no time for a search, but one of the dancers looks animatronic and they all do a routine together for the climax. I saw it first in 2010 IIRC so it's at least that old.
