Hide the Cats! I Love my New Mouse!

Post by danlo »

Finally got an optical mouse! Gods am I flying around the screen or what!? No more "stick and bitch". No more crap stuck in the dirty-nasty rolly ball! Finally after 4 years I move out of the Ice Age. What's next? scanner, digital camera, a printer (or server) that actually works, DSL? Ay Yi! :D

I've had two optical . . . um, mice. The first one I acquired around 00, and this new one I got Xmas 03. It came with the new comp and all, ya know.

Yeah, love the optical. It dosen't seem to work well on a pad, however. I just run it over the desk, works much better.

What the heck's an optical mouse?? I'm extremely happy with my laptop's touchpad. :)

Cats are no longer a nemesis, Danlo. My roller balls used to choke to death on cat hair pretty quickly. I watched the optical mice with yearning for years, until the price dropped down from $70 to the same price as the old kind, but I would have saved just as much money if I had bought optical right away. They're so trouble-free. :)

Yesterday, my cat was knocking around my optical mouse. :)

You're right, it's much easier using an optical mouse.

To answer your "urgent" question, Fist ;) , an optical mouse has a laser beam instead of a roller ball.

I'm happy with mine too, but if I touch it too often my neighbors tend to call the cops!

My answer was better, Fist. Not as true, perhaps; but better.

Or perhaps it wasn't. Perhaps I only mentioned it because I wanted the pedestal for myself. Perhaps I wanted my 15 minutes of fame. Did I succeed? Perhaps. Or perhaps not.

It was definitely funny. Shall we set up a poll to decide whether it was better? Danlo?
