Daredevil
As much as I was disappointed and annoyed at the Daredevil feature film I am equally thrilled and thoroughly entertained by Netflix/Marvel's Daredevil series.
3 episodes in and I've become a diehard fan.
I was never a big fan of Daredevil comics but I respected the character and the creative power many of Daredevil's stories have contributed to comics in general over the years.
Daredevil the series has delivered on a promise of quality story telling at a very high level.
I'm extremely impressed.
Thankfully I don't have to wait. I can dive back in at any time thanks to the Netflix format of releasing the entire series at the same time.

I'm fairly thrilled with the first four episodes, and I'm sure the next three will please me as much. I started collecting comic a little less than a year before Miller took over the writing on DD. It was only bi-monthly until several of his issues had come out. That stuff is so amazing. Nice to see all the characters coming around. Vanessa. Getting a suit from Mr. Potter. Stick isn't in the first four, but I've seen him in trailers.

This is getting better with each episode. I think we've gotten through the first 8. D'Onofrio is fantastic as the villian, Wilson Fisk. He deserves an Emmy nomination.

The Russian mob, Chinese heroin production gang, some Yakuza (including one who seems to be some sort of ninja), and Fisk's organisation. The others are pretty much cameos that aren't really identified to the viewer.
Iron Fist is one of the Defenders getting a series. Last one I think before the crossover. (Daredevil, AKA Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Defenders)

I assume Potter will become Gladiator.
It's possible that Yakuza guy Murrin mentions is in the Hand. I mean, the Hand has to show up eventually, right?
The leader of the Chinese heroin is Madame Gao. She kind of looks like Madame Webb, but I don't suspect any connection.
Yes, Fisk is great. Vanessa is better than in the comics. She's not such a delicate flower here.

This is already a thing which is coming to the MCU. I wouldn't have chosen Cumberbatch, myself; rather, I would have gone with Richard Armitage but I am not the casting director.sgt.null wrote:Dr. Strange
Is the Netflix series officially tied to the MCU? I would tend to doubt it but maybe they have a newspaper headline here or something on a TV in the background over there.
I suppose I will have to get a Netflix subscription so I can check out this series, presuming I don't wait for a DVD release.
The Tank is gone and now so am I.
