Have I mentioned how much I hate CRZ? I'm skipping whole quest chains simply because there aren't enough mobs for the number of people doing the quests. They could at least make named mobs shared-tag.

Ze patch is coming, ze patch is coming.
Hopefully the shaman buffs will make me viable again, though I think I fail as a shammy this expac. Maybe I just need to get back to my resto druid roots. (Pun intended.)

Gere's character decided not to buy out and break up the old guy's company. But instead help him be successful at ship building!Sorus wrote:I Googled.![]()
Did see that movie years ago, but I don't remember the context of that quote.

I could use some success in the art of ship building. Mine seem to fall apart on any mission that's not 100%. They do take 30 minutes and not a lot of material to make, and I suspect that's part of the problem.

Yeah, that's a huge change for hunters. I'm not sure how I feel about it. It doesn't affect me as much as my main spec has always been beastmaster - I'm stubbornly raiding as such now even though the other two hunters in the group are marksman and pull more DPS than I do. (Irv needs to join us and show them what a SV hunter can do.) Beastmaster is at least competitive DPS-wise, and since I figure it's only a matter of time before my priest is needed again (we have too many healers right now - how does that happen?) - I'm going to stick with what I know. I will admit I'm enjoying playing the hunter for a change - she didn't get out at all in Cata or MoP.

A vocal minority have been asking for melee SV since vanilla, I think, but it really will be a huge change - the signature abilities of SV (unless they've been changed) are Explosive Shot, Black Arrow, and Lock and Load, which are all range themed... We're looking at a ground-up redesign of the spec, I think.
I haven't checked the details, but understand the 'Lock spec will show similar separation as the Hunter.
Looks like a fun expansion. Maybe they will bring back stand-there-and-smack-em off tanking!
I haven't tried it yet - but it looks like Kaz is that type of tanking job!
And I do have Asta up to iLevel 680!

yeah ground up redesign for sure. which of course i'm crying about because i've been the hold out surv hunter since forever, right?! i guess i will have to go BM cause i love my pets and never cared for marks anyways.I'm Murrin wrote:A vocal minority have been asking for melee SV since vanilla, I think, but it really will be a huge change - the signature abilities of SV (unless they've been changed) are Explosive Shot, Black Arrow, and Lock and Load, which are all range themed... and sorus i'd love to show the hunters what a good surv hunter can do but even if i was a good surv hunter (which i'm really not) surv is still showing up third to the dps party.

i've had this with actors before, on the set,
where they get upset about the [size of my]
trailer, and i'm always like...take my trailer,
cause... i'm from Kentucky
and that's not what we brag about.

The ally-side raid is super casual. Folks are encouraged to play what they're comfortable with. No one has suggested that I change specs, and I raided briefly on my hunter at the very beginning of Highmaul and missed all of BRF, so my gear isn't great. You are a good hunter, and a good player, and I miss raiding with you, dammit.
It's recommended that you be at about 25K dps to start in Hellfire. We have a few who are below that. You're encouraged to know the basics of the fights beforehand - we recommend watching the LoS two-minute videos, and I'd be happy to do LFR with you - actually tried to drag you into one yesterday, but you must have been AFK. It's a nice, casual, low-pressure group. Come with us. You'll have fun.
