I'm pretty sure quite a bit of the movie story-arc plot lines were spoiled by last night's episode, but until I see Captain America I guess I'm mostly going to just remain confused. Since I know there are a few here who aren't seeing the episodes in real time, I'll hold off on asking about the points I don't understand. But once everyone is caught up (I think Murrin will be the furthest behind, since his station decided to wait until the season is complete before airing the episodes), I'm probably going to need a lot explained to me.

I don't give a damn about spoilers, so don't mind me. Just let me know if the show ever becomes worth watching.

The last two weeks were pretty intense. Overall, it's more fun to watch than Antiques Road Show, I will testify.

Well, there is that episode of Antiques Road Show where someone runs amuck with a blunderbuss from the 17th century. But yes, I see your point with most of their episodes.

That was a good episode. I have added "Never tell someone that their Rembrandt is a fake" to my list of life's lessons.

After all this talk I checked it out and channel 4 started showing the episodes again in mid-March, so they can run an ep every week without gaps. That means they're up to episode 15 (showing tonight).

I decided to catch up, and it turns out the show has in fact improved. Also, I totally called it. I didn't get the details exactly right (not quite dead, not SHIELD), but I say it's close enough.

Sarge, that name sounded familiar so I looked it up, and that's the first time I realised the guy from Winter Soldier is the same agent Skye stunned in The Hub (he was mentioned in that context in one of the episodes I just watched. Hell, every ep I watched has had at least one easter-egg-style reference to Winter Soldier).

Also, I keep finding it hard to believe these guys get to go around doing what they do. During all the stuff in T.A.H.I.T.I. I was just thinking about how Coulson was displaying to SHIELD a lack of professionalism and plenty of evidence he needs to be taken off this team and put in a more regular agent role until he learns not to get so personally invested.

Jasper Sitwell also made an appearance in the first Thor movie. It appears the Marvel people have been cultivating Shield characters for some time.

There isn't anyone to suspend him or revoke his privileges or even stop him at this point. Before that, if Level 9s had been directed by Fury to back off Coulson no matter what he did then he would have had complete freedom to do whatever he wanted.

As it is now, the plane, the team, and any SHIELD resources he raids are his and his alone to do with as he pleases.

note: I have not watched the latest episode; that will happen this evening.

Yeah, I was only referring to things in the episodes up to and including TAHITI.

Story has very definitely move on since TAHITI.

I know that some felt that there was a flat spot in this series for a while. That is now old news. Catch up of recent episodes...and hang on.

Not to say it won't go flat again, but the intensity spiked over the past few episodes. There is definitely a story underway.

Not sure what you're responding to there, Savor. I'm all caught up, and the show's been alright since episode 11 - as I said a couple posts back. (Shame on them for keeping it so annoyingly mediocre for the first ten episodes, still.)

Only your last post,Murrin...too lazy to go back and reconstruct everything you may have previously said.

My last post was just saying that one specific thing I said (which you must have read to understand what my last post was even referring to) was talking only about earlier episodes. It didn't give any indication that I thought the show was "flat", and in fact implied that I knew things were different after TAHITI...

He's not dead, he appeared in the Captain America/Winter Soldier movie.

Jason Sitwell definitely appeared in CA-TWS...and did not sit well. No indication that he met his end in that film, so we have to count him as Alive until irrefutably shown otherwise.

I meant after the events of the movie.
