I believe you--the only time you get rain there is when you ask for it by name! My aunt lives in Albuquerque, and once when we went to visit her, there was an exhibition at a Native American cultural center of some kind. It was a bright sunny day, with only a few clouds, and what do they start doing but a Rain Dance. Halfway through, lightning tore through the sky, and the one cloud opened up and dumped buckets and buckets of rain! The dance stopped, everybody was laughing and soaking wet, and the shower was over in five minutes. The Navajo guy who'd been leading the dance came out into the middle of the courtyard looking stunned and said that'd never happened before!
