SRD Book Tour

Post by Romeo »

Just saw this in the News section of the official site:
Subject to change, I now have tentative dates for my various author tours. Putnams plans to send me around the US October 18-28, while Orion is looking at a British tour November 4-14. More news as it develops.
May I venture a WOOHOO!! I'd also like to guess/hope that the first part of the tour is ending on Oct 28th so he can make World Fantasy Con in Tempe, Arizona from Oct 28 - 31 (www.worldfantasy.org). I've been going to this con for eight years now, so if anyone wants to show up, I'll buy the beers and invite you around. LOTS of great authors to meet there!

Once Steve gets firm dates and places, I'm sure he'll post that info in the Book Tour section of the official site. He can add info that that directly (doesn't have to go through the webmaster), so the second he adds anything, it will appear on the public side of things.
And then the ravens pecked out his eyes.

I'm planning on going pretty much anywhere in the southeast to meet him.

The convention in Tempe sounds like a great time. I wonder if SRD will be doing any readings? Anyone interested in getting some kind of mini-Elohimfest together for that?

Of course you will, CJ. But since I can't have a three-hour conversation with him, I don't think I'll approach him even if he comes to my area.

IIRC, the following year's World Fantasy Convention will be in Madison, Wisconsin. Might be a nice time for a Midwestern get together, if so, especially if SRD is scheduled to do a reading. :)

Besides myself -- Dromond, Taraswizard, Damelon, and Gunslinger (and perhaps some others) all live in the Great Lakes area. 8) Could be fun. :)

Well, I may be all alone this time *sniff*, but I get to see George R. R. Martin Friday night Aug. 22nd and SRD that Saturday afternoon at Bubonicon '04 in my hometown. May also take in the Walter Jon Williams and Dennis McKeirnan readings as well. :D

You and me both, Jay.

Why don't we just go ahead and say that will be Elohimfest 2005?

Or Elohimfest DC October. Who says there can only be one Elohimfest per year? Or per month? He's going to be touring for a total of something like 3 weeks. :?: There could be a Fest at every stop. :)
