Haruchai sleep, unless they vow not to.

Brinn et al in 2nd Chronicles did not swear a Vow, and they did not sleep (not counting the Lady Alif's drug-inducing stupor.)

Only because they needed to be able to protect Cov & Linden at all times. The other Haruchai still sleep.

Just to clarify - are you referring to Haruchai elsewhere, or are you referring to Hergrom and Ceer? Because I'm unaware of anything in 2nd Chronicles that would indicated that Hergrom and Ceer slept while Brinn and Cail guarded TC and LA.

Haruchai elsewhere. Those that went on the Quest gave up sleep so they could protect the others; had they stayed and others wewnt in their place, they would have slept at night like any others.

Does it say anywhere in ChronII that the Search Haruchai did not need sleep? Just because they have a shift on guard duty during the night doesn't make them sleepless.

I'm not sure exactly where it's said, but there's the bit with Lady Alif's potion, and then the deal with Mistweave trying (and failing) to stay awake all the time like Cail did.

On another note, when are they going to get tired of beating each other up? Never, in all my life, have I seen any people be so bullheaded as these guys. They're starting to remind me of Nazis, too. To get rid of someone, just because they have a different opinion... Idiocy.

Let's see, mass realization of failure in the next book, perhaps? :(
