Glad everyone's safe. And I second Cail there, don't be leaving us again LoreMaster...you know it's not that bad man, and the Watch certainly isn't meant to cause any stress.

That said of course, it can, but I really hope you reconsider. I certainly don't think that anything that may have been said was meant as an attack by anybody, and I'm truly sorry that you've perceived it that way.

Hope you'll reconsider. (And that your health improves too.)

No need to be sorry, but I'm not 100% sure that LM is referring to the 'Tank actually. Or not wholly at least.

I thought he was, (assumed it in fact), but I've noticed another thread right here in Gen Disc that he may have been referring to.

If it was the 'Tank alone, I'm doubly sorry though.

Loremaster,sorry about your episode

I hope you return soon.I have been feeling quite empty because I got all the skin scalped off of the end of my left ring finger a couple of weeks ago and have not been able to play my guitar except with a slide since then.As of tonight I can play with minimal pain with a thick coating of super glue on the tip of my finger,I may have overdone it,but the guitar is a major stress reliever for me.So I feel much better!

Well. I am feeling a bit surprised.

They hadn't depoyed anyone from my hospital for hurricane relief since before Rita hit Texas. Today they suddenly started deploying people again -- one nurse was called at home at 10AM and told to be on a plane this afternoon to New Orleans!

At least they stopped telling people they were supposed to take down their own food and water (it was completely weird but somehow just like the federal government to tell people to take two weeks of water and food on an airplane with them

).

I was beginning to relax a bit, thinking the deployments were over...now they are saying they will be deploying people for months. So if I suddenly vanish for a couple of weeks...I might be down south, having gotten only a few hours notice.

A bit nervous. I'm having oral surgery this morning. This spot has been giving me trouble for almost two years -- I guess a few days of not being able to eat much is worth it to get it fixed.

Dejected. It's my birthday. I had an un-birthday don't-call-it-a-party last night, and those few close friends who actually showed up spent a good deal of time discussing why it is that I am totally unattractive to the opposite sex. This was occasioned by one of the said friends, having been told by someone else (who did not bother showing up) that I had a crush on her, decided to let me down gently.

Faugh, say I.

Oh, yes, and I've all but decided to give up writing and see if I can become an accountant or some such thing.

Well, "Happy" might be a bit of a misnomer right now,

But Happy Birthday anyway.

And finding something to support yourself in the meanwhile doesn't have to mean giving up writiong either you know.

Trouble is, I can't write and work a day job; one or the other always ends up demanding my full attention. (At least, not the kind of job I could make a living at. 'Do you want fries with that?' doesn't prevent me from writing, but it isn't a living wage, either.) If I work full-time at something else, the writing will shut down till I quit that job.

But thanks for the good wishes. I can use 'em!
