I came here in search of when the second book of the latest chronicles would come out.
Nice place.

I bought The Runes of the Earth, then as befitting an online person (3 years online) I thought I would join a forum of Stephen Donaldson fans.
Through the Arch of Google

, I found... Kevins Watch!

It was on the end of Kevin's arm. (groan)
How do they tell time in the land? Mini-arm-type-watch-style sundial thingies?

Re telling the time, I thing much the same as in any agriculural society, that is by the suns passage through the sky: dawn - morning - noon - afternoon - sunset - night
They wouldn't have clocks as such, our obsession with time began with the railways, you know timetables. Note that there are no railways in the Land, nor factories.

Heh, nice.
My uncle told me about Kevinswatch after we both found out the other was a fan of Covenant. Bizarrely, despite leading me here, he's not a member himself.

I already described this when I made my "Hey everyone!" sort of post, but I'll summarize here, because I don't like repeating myself...
In a single sentence, no less.
"Google is a
very good friend of mine.

Actually, I was just searching for fan art when I just stumbled over it. I had to bend down to see what I had stumbled over.

I was searching for scifi/fantasy themed music, SRD was the target of choice, and the Metallica thread on the TC board came up.
That said, I'll admit that the initial main attraction was the Gap forum. Although my first posts were in the MN forum.
Well, I've never denied being an SRD fan.
