I pronounce it sorta like Grimmer-door, although I can "feel" the h when I say it. So it's really more like Grimmer-dhoor

Pronouncing a dh sound doesn't feel particularly strange to me. The h is almost sub-vocal and is a semi-pause after the plosive d.

Like the Asiatic wild dog, the dhole.

Perhaps what is needed is for SRD to write an equivalent to Appendices E and F of LOTR - but even that hasn't stopped people referring to the chief baddie of LOTR as "Sore Ron", one of the minor goodies as "Cellar born", and the chief baddie of The Hobbit as "Smorg".

Is the ñ of yajña pronounced as it is in Spanish?

I would say so. There's no english equivalent to ñ. So I assume SRD would not use it unless he meant the spanish sound.

I agree about the n tilde on the same basis. Which begs the question, how then should the "j" then sounded? Also español?

I've always instinctually presumed that yajña is pronounced yah-nya, rather than yaj-nya.
