I'm all for a celebration! Any thoughts on what to do?

We could always post a "Happy Birthday, SRD" thread (oops! did I say new thread??  :fim: ) and write what his books have meant to us. I'm sure he stops in to the forum every once in a while.

This is my first look at the album and this thread. To all the contributors...Nice work! Zahir, what program are you using to create your cover art?

BTW, I believe the picture of Elena is a Boris Vallejo work. I'll do some research and check back in. I don't know if the gallery is appropriate for general fantasy art but, as a fan of fantasy art in general I've got some great stuff I could upload. If you thought the "Elena" picture was racy you should check out the work of Luis Royo. He has an art book called "Malefic" which contains some of the most beautiful fantasy portraits of women that I have ever seen (although most is "R" rated). His work makes Vallejo and Frazetta's look cartoonish in comparison. If there is any interest I'll certainly upload some of them.

P.S. Any word on the member photo gallery. I've got to admit I'm very curious as to what each of you looks like. It's funny but I think I've mentally attached a face to each one of you. My mental pictures are probably most influenced by your avatars and I'm probably way off on the vast majority of them.

Just uploaded two Luis Royo pictures to the Art Gallery. I wasn't sure which gallery to put them in so if you need to move them Vain, please do so.

Vain, could I ask you to delete the sideways "Memory in White" file as I had to fool with the image sizes and originally made a mistake.

I hope you all like these. If you do I'll download some others but I must caution you. These are two of the more PG rated pieces he has done. Maybe I'll upload one with a male subject for the ladies. Let me know what you think.

At your reuqest Duchess and Lady Caamora....

The piece is called "Corraled by Sweat" and is one of the few in which the artist has used a male subject. Certainly not as revealing as the others but I think the steely eyed gaze conveys that "Warrior haunted by his deeds" feeling. Hope you enjoy it.

I'll leave them there for now and have hopefully deleted the correct one :)

I have added a motley crew gallery ;) I'll add my mug there once I can synchronise a camera and my new t-shirt :)

Alright Vain...Looks like I'll be the founding father of "The Motley Crew". I was waiting for you to post first but...Anyway, I submitted my picture and I expect that other members will follow suit as I don't want to be the only goof with his/her picture up.

I moved my PC a while back but seem to have neglected to move the webcam....I'm going to find that over the weekend and I will surely reciprocate with a pic of me and my shirt :) We may then be the only two but what the heck :D
