Great, so Dragonball Z or a penis. I can't tell you how many times the jibes I receive come down to these two things.

lol, I should, I know. Seriously, though, my "to read" list is really long. I'm reading Stranger in a Strange Land for the umpteenth time and have yet to read The Last Chronicles for the first time.

But I'll always come back to Tom Robbins. :) He's one of my favorites.

Did you know that I hav yet to read Stranger in a Strange Land? It's true, I've read a gazillion other Hienlein novels, but not that one. Have you ever read the uncut edition?

Ah, you are reading Stranger in a Strange Land yet again? May you never thirst!

RAH went a bit off the rails a bit many year later trying to recapture what he had with that book. Some are interesting reading, others are either just softcore or questionable ramblings, but he was right on form when he wrote Stranger.

Yeah, I've only ever read the uncut version. It's probably the book that has had the greatest philosophical impact on me. I highly recommend it :)

Thank you, Savor! Yeah, I persuaded my friend to read it and now she's really excited to delve into the philosophy with me, but the last time I read it was in college, a couple of years ago. So I'm picking it up again. I'm finding many more layers, each time I read it.

Apparently Watcher Beorn is oblivious to his female classmates around him.

For those on Facebook, the comments are just too cute.
Beorn says this was taken on "Geek Day." Notice Beorn didn't dress up... ;)

Nah. I was just sayin' you're already cool. You made the mistake of reading way too much into what I say, like the rest of my fans.

Lord Foul flirts like a moose eating porridge from a bucket. It's not pretty or even hygienic, but it might succeed through sheer vigour if nothing else. ;)

:P I mock because I love. Or because I don't. Could go either way.

Beorn hates cameras.
what? no, I haven't the slightest idea where that attitude came from...

From what he said, the girls and some of the other students who were dressed for Geek Day (teacher was too, from what I saw in the Facebook album) were flitting around the classroom, posing and otherwise having a good time. He just couldn't relate, so did his typical withdrawal and lost himself in his book, trying to ignore the goings on. He says the girl who took the picture finally said, "Hey Beorn, I have a question for you," and his look was him being annoyed as he responded, "What is it?" And that's when the picture was taken.

Out of routine and overwhelmed by sensory input.
I imagine it was not a good day for him...
Even with the expression on his face, I'm a bit proud of him for not melting down completely. It might seem a small thing to anyone else, but he has made huge strides in this arena.

Flirting: Obviously something non-hot people do, since they can't attract through sheer presence alone... I'm sorry you have to go through such efforts!
