That the person to die was in the first 10 minutes of the Pilot, plus a guy on another site claims to be her GodFather, and says she has moved on to other things.

There are apparently 2 more people dying by the end of the season, one of them is surprising due to their powers

The great thing about this week's episode is that we finally see Petrelli use his powers.

I lie Petrelli more every week. A bit too Peter Parker-esque but not bad!

I agree. I was waiting for Peter to show his stuff and he displayed it in grand fashion!!

I wasn't surprised when Hiro parted company with Ando, but I was a little bummed to see it happen.

I thought Sylar's newly acquired power was handled well. It was refreshing to watch him suffer a bit as he grappled with his super hearing.

Agree and agree.

I liked Peter's new power of yelling someone into a wall. Reminds me of Dune.

And it was good to see the detective (or whatever) being played by the guy from the old Coach tv show, one of the funniest characters ever, I think. (and who is also Patrick on Spongebob Squarepants :) ).

Was Hope played by the same girl who is on Mad TV?
Cowboy: Why you doin' this, Doc?
Doc Holliday: Because Wyatt Earp is my friend.
Cowboy: Friend? Hell, I got lots of friends.
Doc Holliday: ... I don't.

I haven't watched Mad TV in a couple of years. I loved that show!

Doesn't look like she was on Mad TV, but she was on Maxim's top 100 List of 2004!

Actually, knowing he was going to be off the show (at least for awhile) and considering where Hiro's arc is going doesn't really leave room for Ando as a regular sidekick, I was glad to see them part company, the other option, was to see Ando die, which I certainly didn't want to do. At least now, Ando can be worked back into the plot at a later point as a live character. Although it's nice to be able to see dead characters in flashbacks/timetravel episodes, it's always so sad to be reminded how good a character they were and that they are indeeed dead, such as Ethan on LOST (Although Boone seems to be a much better character dead than he ever was alive, LOL)
I was really surprised Mohinder didn't catch on to the clues, I kept hoping he would notice "Zane"/Sylar was struggling with superhearing, and put two and two together with the sawed off head. Mohinder's gonna really feel horrible when he learns the truth about the assistance he's giving to him.

Yeah, Mohinder's a bright guy, I can't believe he won't catch on soon. When they were at the motel, Mohinder seemed to be surprised by Sylar's enthusiasm about travelling together tracking down the meta humans. His reaction makes me wonder if Mohinder already has some doubts about Sylar.

Also...
Spoiler

OMG (How many OMG can I get away with before someone calls me on it?)

So, Hiro's father is in on it afterall. 14 Years ago, he was in a position to order Dr. B to adopt Claire, and to order him to turn her in, if/when she manifests. Yet, 14 years later, his own son (Hiro) can run around the world holding up a flashing neon sign that he has a destiny, and actively work to accomplish it, and after being captured and ordered back to Japan, he is instead allowed to continue running free?

So, Claude was Dr. B's first partner, and he survived being shot several times on a bridge, in the middle of nowhere, and even took a spill over the bridge? Is he more like Peter than we thought, and that's why he knows so well how to train Peter? Or was the Meta-Human he was hiding, there to save him? And who was that Meta-Human?

Ted's gonna be dangerous being held there like that, I hope they handle him better than they did Sylar. The Cheerleader saved at least her home town, if not the world by doping Ted. Where's the Haitian taking Claire, will she still be real active in the weekly arc? LOL, the "Agency" thought the haitian was mute too. Now we know, Dr. B isn't so bad afterall, when compared to the folks he works for. Looks like Matt's got a new job, how's Hannah gonna feel about Ted being captured and Matt working with Dr B.?

Hiro gets his sword next week, it seems.

I wondered about that. I think HRG's superior made a comment about having to kill another of HRG's partners....maybe he did it. I also think it's odd that Takei doesn't seem to belive his son has any powers, and I also thought last weeks' epi had the Internet Girl in HRG's house with the other two, while this episode only had the 2 guys.

I don't think Hannah actually went with them. I think she left the graveyard to go find out who was pulling Dr B.'s strings, while the guys went to go yank his chain.

How many times did HRG have to waste one of his partners? If you look close at the walkway part of the bridge near the end of the episode, It looks like there are numerous bloodstains on the cement.

Mabye he's had to waste more than just Claude.

Eeep! I had to record last week's episode, so I watched it just before this week's, so I got a double dose! Lots and lots to think about here!

If we can trust Mr. Bennett to tell us the truth (which I am not certain we can trust the veracity of his claims--more on this in a moment) then there are no "potentials" who have been given powers through a DNA-altering virus. Instead the sole function of Primatech is to find the metas and bring them in for study. Which seems unlikely. If there is little hope of replicating any powers, it seems foolish for the corporation to expend such time, money and manpower on merely cataloging the metas. My take on it is that there has been limited success in altering the DNA and causing *some* manifestation in the potentials--though at this point I believe that the results are unpredictable--hence the need for tracking. As for Mr. Bennett (HRG), he may indeed believe that he is telling the truth regarding what it is that they do at Primatech, especially if the Haitian has adjusted his memory along the way.

Sooo. . . anyone else catch Stan Lee as the driver of Ando's bus? I thought that was a really good cameo. :D The man practically invented modern superheroes!

I did have one remark to make regarding Sylar--whether or not he eats the brains, the brains are always removed--and absent. If you recall, Mohinder's father, Dr. Suresh told Sylar that he believed the soul was located in the brain. Also, another argument in favor of this theory is the fact that Claire remained dead until the branch was pulled out of her brain. Only then did she regenerate. Furthermore, Sylar was not able to gain Eden's power from her because she destroyed her brain by shooting herself. Personally I think Sylar eats brains--probably whole! :D

And one other thing that no one else has mentioned so far:
Spoiler
In the previews for next week, Simone isn't really dead. She was walking around, and asking Peter and Isaac if they wanted to kill her again. I find this very, very interesting. Did the gun fire blanks? Was she wired with blood packs that would explode when triggered? She certainly could be wearing a bulletproof vest. But the entire thing makes me wonder why she would arrive prepared in either way. Clearly Isaac didn't anticipate this. If he didn't, how did she? Questions, questions, questions!
Okay. I've got to get to bed. More to come. . .

I don't find it so strange that the Agency behind PrimaTech Paper would spend so much cataloging Meta Humans.

1. They are putting the dangerous ones on ice, such as Sylar, and now Ted, since he is getting stronger. In addition to saving llives, they are also keeping the issue out of the public eye, which is what most secret Gov't Organizations do.
2. If a rash of crimes become apparent that would seem to have been committed by an invisible man, it would be really nice to have a tracking on Claude for instance.
3. They may be building an army to get the upper hand for soemthing, or they may be "keeping up with the Jones" if a potential rival has an army.
4. The guy at the top may be a meta human himself
5. They may be recording results in the attempt "cure" them, or to produce them.

Good points. Did it seem that bennet didn't pull the trigger on Claude? It looked as though someone or something made his gun fire... did anyone else catch that?

WW...about your spoiler....how do you know that what we saw in the preview was REAL? That it wasn't a vision or dream? I'd say withold judgement for now!

I thought I watched pretty closely, and it sure looked to me like Claude was tumbling over the side of the bridge, before he went invisible, but, many disagree with me, I'm gonna have to pay more attention when I see it again, and will also try to focus on wether it looks like the bullets are coming from Dr. B's gun.
Spoiler
I am pretty sure Simone's last episode is this coming Monday, so, either she is around, only so we can watch ehr stop breathing, it's a dream, or an imposter, or she gets killed again, for real. I'm not sure which, but, her breaths are limited.

I believe there is supposed to be a Meta human dying in this coming episode
Bummer that the next episode is the last one before another month long hiatus, the next episode after the 03/05/07 one, will be 04/09/07. The punishment for the shorter hiatus than everyone else took, although I prefer shorter breaks myself.

Crap! I hadn't realized it was time for another hiatus! Aaand. . . I actually don't like spoiling too much by reading about the actors cmings and goings and suchlike. So consequently I'm going to be wrong from time to time. :)

I like trying to guess and figure things out. :D

Also, been thinking about X-men and Stan Lee and how that may (or may not) play into our little show.

Very groggy now. Took cold medicine, can barely hold eyes open. More to come. . .
